===== (Y/N's P.O.V)
"Y/N, we both know I can love you and that I do love you a whole lot more than he does." Grayson crossed his arms. I began walking away,
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm happy the way I am and who I'm with." I turned and almost ran into someone,
"God, you have a chance- " I was suddenly slammed into the lockers. The smell of cigarettes washed over me,
"Hey, baby." I opened my eyes slowly,
"Hi, babe." He glared at me,
"You know what I like you to call me." His hands groped around my backside. I shook my head and mumbled,
"Too many people." He pulled me close,
"What was that? Princess?" He let me fall back against the wall. I glanced around,
"Hi, Daddy." He hummed in my ear,
"Louder." I forced myself a little louder,
"I said, hi. Daddy." He groaned,
"Good girl."
~Later That Night~
"Hey, babe, what do you wanna watch?" I sat down on the couch. He gave me that same glare,
"What was that?" He faced me. I tucked my hands in my lap,
"I said, hey babe, what do you wanna watch?" I didn't expect the hit, nor did I feel it until a few seconds after the initial shock. Happened every time. He was red in the face and breathing hard,
"Next time, it's gonna be worse." He stood and got a beer from his fridge. When he sat back down, I stood,
"I-I'm just gonna go home. I'll see you tomorrow, babe." I heard it as soon as I said it. I turned right into the punch. I fell and held my eye. I scrambled off of the floor and out of the door, barefoot and almost without my keys,
"What did I do to deserve this? "
~Next Day~
No one said a word about the bruise when I got to school. Then, I was pulled from class. The nurse and the guidance counselor sat me in the conference room. The counselor sat across from me , while the nurse sat next to me,
"So, Y/N, do you know why you're here?" I shifted nervously while the nurse poked at my bruise. I cringed when she hit a tender spot,
"Not really. I was kinda enjoying Algebra." I cracked a weak laugh. The nurse pulled her hands from my face,
"Nothing's broken." She left. I watched the door close,
"Look, I'm fine." The counselor made uncomfortable eye contact,
"How'd it happen?" I sighed,
"I fell down the steps and just banged up my eye." The counselor propped her elbows up,
"How'd you 'fall'?" I pulled my phone out,
"I was staring down and I missed the first step and toppled." I gathered my things,
"Thanks for the concern."
~Free Period~
I grabbed Grayson and dragged him out to the football field. I shoved him,
"What the fuck is your problem?" I crossed my arms. Grayson flushed,
"I-Is your face okay?" He motioned to my eye. I smacked his hand,
"My face is fucking fine. Why and what did you tell the counselor?" Grayson sighed,
"I was concerned about your eye and I told the counselor. She said she'd pull you. After, she told me that nothing serious happened. So, now, why did you lie?" I sighed,
"My business stays as my business unless defined otherwise." I looked across the field aimlessly,
"This could get ugly." I took a struggled breath,
"Just stay out of his way."
