"Avengers, day two of the yearly examination. Report to the training room in suits." Steve's voice has came over the intercom. I rolled my eyes and put my chips I was eating away, I had barely gotten to eat in the past two days. I quickly went to go change into costume and walked to the training room.

I was the last one to walk in, I headed to the end of the line next to Loki. He elbowed me very slightly and I looked up at him, he was looking at me from the corners of his eyes, smirking at me. I playfully rolled my eyes at him and turned my attention back to the agents in front of us.

"Today, we will be testing endurance." Said Agent Hill. Everyone groaned once again.

"Everyone to the starting line, except Bruce." She added on. Everyone slowly made their way to a lane on the track. I was the last yet again, next to Loki.

"Do as many as you can, we'll be counting. On your marks, get set, go!" Everyone started running as fast as they could around the track, Steve immediately taking first. Every four laps was a mile and I could tell I would be running for quite some time. Loki and I were running side by side, we both looked to each other and smirked.

"Eat my dust, Loki." I ran ahead of Loki as he looked shocked that I could go faster. At this point everyone was on different parts of the track. I had just completed a lap and I wasn't even breathing hard. Loki had eventually caught up to me. We made light conversation as a joke while we were both running full speed.

"Agent Y/L/N and Loki! Come on!" Agent Hill said to us as we passed her. I started to run slightly faster, as did Loki.

"Y/L/N has a nice ring to it."

  "Shut up, Loki."

About 30 minutes later everyone was still running, I was barely even tired. I noticed that Loki was becoming a bit short of breath, looking over to him and smirking, he rolled his eyes at me. I was on my 16th lap already which meant I had ran four miles, at full speed, in heels. Both of the Agents had grown tired of standing and eventually sat on the ground since Fury wasn't there. The first to finally stop was Clint after a cool down lap. I understood why he stopped though, I mean the guy has three children and a wife, he's not like he used to be.

Next to stop was Tony after a relaxing lap as well, he was laying on the ground and wheezing when Loki and I had passed him. I chuckled to myself and kept going, by now I was a little out of breathe but didn't mind it.

Thor eventually stopped on about the fifth mile. He had to carry his hammer with him the entire time so he was probably more tired from that. Now Natasha, Steve, Loki, and I were left running. I kept count of the lap I was on which was the twenty-third lap, almost six miles. Natasha stopped too, She was sitting on the ground with Tony while trying to catch her breath.

I looked over at Steve who was on the other side of the track, he looked worn out but kept pushing himself. Is running not as easy for other people? I looked over at Loki as well, his face was red and he was somewhat struggling to breathe.

"Loki maybe you should stop, you don't want to pass out."

"I know my own- limits, Y/n." He stopped mid-sentence to take in a big breath of air.

"Whatever you say." I kept running around the track, growing bored of the activity. I started recounting things that I had grown up with. All the high heel practice I had done and all of the endurance testing. I didn't recall where it was but I remember my mother being there.

"Y/L/N, keep up the pace!" I snapped out of my thoughts and noticed Loki was now slightly ahead of me but looking back with a concerned expression. I sped up and caught up with him, running side by side. Running more laps, we were now on our eighth mile. I noticed a slight pain in my calves but ignored it. Steve slowed down and did a lap while lightly jogging, eventually stopping. Everyone gasped and looked to me and Loki, trying to see who would stop first.

"Bet you ten dollars Y/n is going to stop first." Tony said to Natasha as we passed by. I looked back at Tony and smirked at him.

"Wait no-" Tony tried to say

"Bet taken, Tony." Natasha cut him off. Tony grunted and continued to watch us. I looked over to Loki and he was wheezing, a bright red face.

"How are you not tired?" Loki said in between breaths. I shrugged and continued running. It was now our tenth mile, which means we ran forty laps already. This was barely anything to me. Loki had started to slow down, he was probably so done with running by now. He jogged a lap and came to a stop by the Agents. Everyone looked towards me and hollered at me. They screamed words of encouragement and I ran past. I looked at Loki as I ran past and smirked at him. Everyone whooped as I kept going.

After an hour I was on my one hundred and twenty first lap.

"Alright Y/L/N, you can stop, we know enough." I jogged a lap and stopped in front of everyone. They were all laying on the ground at this point.

"How in hell were you able to do that?" Natasha asked me. I shrugged and walked past them to go get a sip of water. I came back and they were all still gawking at me, even Loki.

"Let's just say I've built up some endurance."
