Chapter 21

  After lounging on the couch and speaking to Bucky, my stomach let out a growl in the middle of my sentence.

  "I better get something to eat. Want anything?" I asked Bucky. He politely said no and I stood up. I walked into the kitchen and looked into the pantry. I grabbed an apple and a pop-tart. Breakfast of champions I thought to myself and smirked. I walked back to the living room and saw that Natasha had left and Clint and Loki were now sitting there. I sat down next to Bucky and started eating. We made conversation and talked about random things.

I finished my apple and threw the core in a nearby trash can. I opened the pop-tarts and broke off a piece. I gestured it to Bucky.

"Want some?" I asked him politely. He hesitated at first but then took the piece and ate.

"Thank you Y/n." I smiled at him and nodded. I could see Loki from the corner of my eye, looking displeased. He had his nose in a book but had one hand on the arm of the couch, he was tightly holding onto it. I hadn't talked to Loki in about three-ish days. I don't know where we stood or if he even liked me.

  "Y/n?"

  "Yeah?"

  "Do you know any good grocery stores around here that sell fruits?" I nodded excitedly.

  "Yeah! Do you wanna go buy something?" Bucky looked a little hesitant but soon nodded and started cheering up.

  "Hey don't steal my friend." Steve said to me while looking stern.

  "Too late." I said while standing up. "I'll be back soon Bucky, I'm just gonna change real quick." He nodded and turned to Steve. I walked to my room and closed the door behind me. I went over to a drawer and opened it. I quickly picked out a random t-shirt and put it on after taking off my other shirt. My t-shirt had said "Screw Responsibility". I brushed my hair and looked at the jeans I had on. Good enough I thought to myself and mentally shrugged. I grabbed my phone and wallet, shoving them into different front pockets.

  I walked back out to the living room and saw Bucky excitedly waiting and sitting on the couch.

"Ready to go?" I asked him, and he nodded. We walked into the elevator and went down to the lobby.

"So what are you looking to buy?" I asked Bucky as we were waiting in the elevator."

"Some fruits maybe." I nodded and walked out of the elevator doors as soon as they opened with Bucky. We walked out to the street and both chatted for a bit until we reached a quaint little store, snuggled in between two tall buildings.
