Chapter 20

CHAPTER XX

"What??! No no... not that. I just feel very uncomfortable around you."

"I'm sorry for that night. I promise it will never happen again." As he said, we awkwardly stared at each other.

I looked down to my coffee, "I hope it never happens again."

"Yeah!! For sure. That night... I guess I just was a bit high on the the beer I had and..."

"It's ok... I don't want an explanation." I said, because i didn't want anymore of the awkwardness.

"Want to go out for a walk?" He asked
" Nah.. I'm fine. Why don't you go and join the others. I'll join you all later after I'm done with my coffee"

" Ayy just tell you are scared of the rides." He said in a teasing tone.

"No no it's not that" I said in a defensive manner. "By the way why are you here? Are you scared of the rides too?"

"I'll be honest with you, yes, I'm scared of heights. I'm not an theme park kind of person."

"Then why did you come?" I was curious.

"Because you were coming.." he said in a lower voice

"What?" That caught me off gaurd.

" I mean the same reason you came for.. to spend time with my friends"

"Okaay "

"Min soo ah!" I heard Tae call me. I turned to see everyone coming towards us.

Hoseok came running toward us "What are y'all doing here? Are y'all having a coffee date?"
I just noticed he ordered the same coffee as me.

"Ahh noo.. we just happened to have the same coffee!" I said smiling.

"Come let's leave. It becoming late, there is only 30 mins for the park to close. We need to have dinner too."

"Oh yess lets goo" said Jungkook "But where should go for dinner... I'm craving for chicken!!"

"Lets go to the nearby Korean BBQ restaurant. I'll treat you guys beer and chicken!" Said Tae

The whole place lit up and all of them cheerful left the park.

When we reached the restaurant we occupied the 8 seater table. Everyone at the table was excited.

"By the way, what is the treat for? Is there something special today? Jin asked Tae with curiosity.

Everyone suddenly stopped talking as they were curious too.

" Oh actually I had a surprise which I was gonna give at the end of the dinner, but since you all are so curious, I'll do it now."

"Do what? What's the surprise?!" Asked Jungkook as he couldn't wait anymore.

" Well..." He turn towards me. My eyes widened as he stared at me differently.

"I wanted to tell you this a very long time. That day at the waterfalls, you said we are just friends, but I don't like you as a friend. You are more than a friend to me. I like you. Will you be my girlfriend?!" He finished it with his boxy smile which made me flustered and look down as I blushed.

"Oooooo" Everyone was in shock but were more eager of my answer.

At the moment I was going the answer, Jimin dropped his chopsticks, stood and said to Hoseok, "I'm going to the washroom I'll be right back."

I could tell he was upset but I was more nervous as to what to tell Tae as he eagerly waited for my answer as the others.

I thought for a moment and said, "Can I tell you tomorrow?"

" Yess sure, anytime! I'll wait for you" He was a bit embarrassed as it felt like I was turning him down so I said,
"I'm so sorry I need some time to think... don't be sad... I'll get back to you tomorrow morning itself"

"No I'm not sad, atleast you didn't say no... I still have hope" he said as he winked at me.

Everyone got up and headed toward the exit while Tae paid for the dinner. Jimin just came out of the washroom and our eyes met.
He awkwardly broke the contact as he went to Hoseok and wrapped his arm around his shoulders playfully.

Me and Tae walked to the exit. Tae wanted me to sit with him in the passenger seat so I did so.
He dropped me off first and drove back the the dorm.

Taehyung's POV

As I got into the dorm I jumped onto the bed and kept hitting my head with a  pillow

"What's wrong?!" Namjoon Hyung asked with concern.

" I think I messed up. I didn't want to confess to her this early!"

"It never too early to confess your feelings for anyone, and why do you think you messed up? Instead I think you did great as you were clear about want you wanted to confess instead of beating around the bush. By the way she didn't tell you a no yet means she has some feelings for you too."

" You think so?"

" Yes!" Namjoon hyung said confidently. "From how much I know about Min Soo, she is not the type of girl to play with your feelings. If she didn't have feelings for you she would have told a no."

"But..."

"Yaahh! Stop overthinking and sleep. She promised to answer you by tomorrow no? Sleep now." Hyung said as he was tired and wanted to sleep right away.

But the one thing that bothers me it what if she has feelings for Jimin and didn't say a no yet because she thought she might lose as a friend?!

The main reason why I decided to confess today was because of Jimin, because he was getting too close to her, which made me insecure.

I knowww it's almost a yeaaaar that I'm updating now but I was too busy with my first year of college.
Now that I'm free I m8 be regular 😊
