"No!" Rita answered heatedly. "It honestly makes me angry you'd even think that I'd- Wait.'' Peter looked away from Rita as she tilted her head, squinted eyes burning against his skin. "How do you know I got it?'' Peter turned his back on the girl and she answered the only way she could. She groaned loudly, almost as if her intent was to imitate a suffering bear. The fact he was acting like he was in a lame soap opera was, to say the least, getting under her skin. "Look at me Peter!" She demanded with a bossy tone she didn't know she owned. Though she utterly enjoyed. ''What the hell is going on?"

"It's too complicated. I don't want to get you involved." He took a deep breath. Rita rolled her eyes so further back into her head she was scared they would be stuck there forever.

''You must be sick in the head if you think that after hearing that, I'll just walk away.'' She crossed her arms and watched Peter's lips form a slight smirk. She smirked back, delighted she was finally getting trough him.

''I-''

"Peter come on.'' The girl pleaded as she began walking towards the boy she refused to lose. ''Look at me.'' Her hands pulled his face towards her. ''We've been trough literal hell to be able to be together now. Are you going to throw all of the effort away? Are you really letting it all be in vain? Are you really willing to let us go?"

''Do you think I want this?'' He asked lowly.

''No, I don't! That's why I came back. '' She answered softly, then kissed him once. "Talk to me." Twice. "We can fix it." Three times and he was kissing her back passionately, completely giving in to the girl holding his face. The one who had all of him. He couldn't hide his love. Not from Rita.

''You really don't care for the play as long as we're together?'' He asked with bright, shining eyes full of hope. Rita could see her outline reflected on his dark iris. Never had she looked so pretty.

"No!" She said honestly, her thumb caressing his cheek. "Peter there will be so many other opportunities for me to show how passionate I am about theatre. I have a literal lifetime to be the lead actress in musicals even bigger than this one! It's so not worth it losing you for this one. I mean I'll star in hundreds of musicals but there's only one of you. I won't have another Peter. I won't have another love like this.''

"You know. Of all the answers I wasn't expecting that one." He widened his eyes in surprise, though he was most delighted.

"Why not?" She frowned.

"Because you're you.'' He chuckled. ''You're Rita, you're the most independent girl in the entire world and I didn't think you'd chose me over your biggest passion in life. I mean can you blame? You're so focused and your morals are so thick they can break down walls... To me it was obvious you'd chose to chase your dream rather than choosing to be with a really fucked up dude, who doesn't know what he's doing half of the time." He chuckled.

"You're so dumb, you're so incredibly dumb.'' Peter adorably furrowed his eyebrows. Surely he was expecting a different answer, but Rita cleared the confusion soon enough. ''Do you really think I know what I'm doing? Me? The one who's hunted by anxiety? The one who panics if anyone raised their voice at me? It may look like I've got my shit together but I don't. Most of the time I'm so anxious my chest hurts.  Crowds freak me out, loud talking or shouting makes my whole respiratory system begin to fail and walking alone to class makes me paranoid. I'm even scared of crossing the street. I'm unsure of every little choice I make, every step I take but I'm not unsure of us. Peter I'm in a constant state of uneasiness that doesn't fade unless I'm with you and I refuse to give that up. Ever. Stop doing shit because you think I'll be happier after. Instead, begin asking me if I will. Stop being dumb and fucking tell me what's going on.''
