I'm minding my own business, I really am, I'm just laying on my bed, scrolling down Instagram's explore page looking for more soap cutting videos when the door of the room is slammed open with such force it dents a hole, shaped like the silver round handle, into the drywall.

My heart automatically drops at the sudden hazard and I'm up sitting so quickly my mind spins for a few seconds.

''I'm so fucking pissed.'' Eva storms inside, face so flushed It matches perfectly the burgundy crop top she's wearing. ''The showers are freaking communal.''

''Okay.'' I furrow my eyebrows. My pulse drops as I'm feeling extremely relieve the world isn't ending after all. ''Why are you so mad? I'd think you'd be happy sharing them with a bunch of cute girls.'' I wiggle my eyebrows at my freshest friend.

Eva shakes her head. ''Oh no, that's the dream, but you know what's not? Sharing them with a bunch of boys too.''

''What does that mean?''

''Means, my dear Rita, girls and boys all up in the same bathrooms.'' She shivers dramatically, shaking her entire body and jumping in the air. ''Do you know how dirty males are? A lot!''

I crack a smile just at the reminder of the time I did share a bathroom with a boy but Isaac wasn't the tidiest boy around the block so I'm familiar with Eva's revolt.

''Is that allowed?'' I ask genuinely, completely oblivious of the way things work in a dorm building.

''Apparently. It sure wasn't last year.'' She shakes her head. ''I bet the budget's running low!''

''That sucks.'' I say emphatically. I'm not looking forward to sharing a room so intimate with a bunch of teenage boys either. ''It's gonna be awkward ain't it?''Eva simply takes a deep breath, her face returns to its usual tan tone and she relaxes her shoulders.

I lay back down in my not so comfortable bed but that seems to be insane of me to do by how Eva speaks to me next, like I'm indeed crazy.

''What are you doing Rita? We have a party to go to!'' Well, I had completely forgotten about that.

''Right! Silly me, daring to lay down when we still have two hours until it starts.'' I chuckle and Eva rolls her big green eyes. ''What's the frat called anyway?'' I ask then, climbing down my bed and almost twisting my ankle.

''Alpha phi Alpha.'' She answers as she's scanning trough her side of the built in wardrobe. ''Leo's the president, it's quite the love of his life that house.'' She chuckles shaking her head.

''How long have you been friends?'' Eva speaks of Leo like he's her soulmate, her eyes shine and she can't bite down her smile. It's quite endearing to see how fond she is of him.

''Since I can remember, really.'' She smiles as she throws a black jumpsuit over her bed. ''Our mothers were best friends and we've always lived in this semi-detached house  so practically like siblings y'know?'' I nod. ''He's a really neat dude, I love him.'' I smile while I'm thinking about how similar mine and Isaac's connection is to theirs. Every girl really needs a male best friend, lucky me I have two.
