I've been avoiding seeing Devin, for a few days. I made sure to talk to and text him, though. I feel so guilty but I keep thinking about Marcus. It was pure heaven. I can't run back to Devin, now. I just can't. And now it's Tuesday and I know Marcus will be at work. Teyana's going to be there too and I can't deal with that. I never do this but I think I'm going to call out. I pick up my phone, to call the main office and notice a group text, from Marcus. James is out sick, today so it may be a little hectic, this morning. I'll be there, to help. Damn it, James. I can't leave Tee hanging. I annoyingly get up and get ready for work.

I drag my feet into work. "Damn, who pissed in your cereal?" Teyana asks. I don't even want to go into this right now. "I'm just not feeling too well." I answer. "How's your ankle?" "Oh, it's better." "Thanks to me." Marcus comes around the corner. My entire body shivers, thinking about him on top of me. "Thank you." I smile shyly and push the left side of my hair, behind my ear. "My pleasure." He smiles. Teyana tries not to make it obvious that she has a feeling something happened. "So ladies, I'll be here with y'all for most of the day. Is that cool?" "Do we have a choice?" I ask half jokingly. "Oh don't do me like that. You know I'm a joy to be around." I playfully roll my eyes and begin my morning tasks. The sick feeling fades away.

The rest of the shift breezes by. Marcus is actually a great addition to me and Tee's tag team. He reeled in Keke Palmer, with not much effort. "I like y'all, right here." She says. "I know y'all leaving so I hope the night crew is just as cool as y'all." "Thank ya girl." Teyana says. We've already gotten to take a few pics with her. "Thank you." I say. She's so sweet. It's wild, all the people we meet. I clock out and head for the break room, while Teyana wraps up her last reservation. Although I was fine this morning, my ankle wasn't too pleased with all the pressure. When I was going to class, yesterday, it was fine. I guess since I don't stand the whole time, it didn't have a chance to hurt. "I see you still limping. You got anymore broccoli?" Marcus asks. I laugh. "No actually. I ate it for dinner, last night and lunch today." "I would've liked to taste that." I pause a little. I know he meant the broccoli, or did he? He smiles deviously. "Maybe next time I'm over, I can see if you're a decent cook." He whispers. "Next time?" We make it back to the front desk, so we stop our conversation. "See you ladies later!" Marcus waves good bye.

"I want all the tea." Teyana folds her arms. "Don't you have to go get your stuff?" I ask. She runs to the break room and before I could even make it to the front door, she was back. "Now. The tea." She says all out of breath. I roll my eyes and laugh. I make sure no one's around and I give her the tea. "Charity, no!" She yells. "Shush, Tee!" I grab her arm. I drag her into my car. "You gotta end it, now. He's married." "I know that! We didn't plan for it to happen, it just did." "I specifically told you to stay away, from the forbidden fruit. Damn you, Eve." She jokes. "I know it's bad, Tee but it's so good." "What? I can't even imagine this right now. He's our manager." "He's our married manager." I say sadly. "Please be careful. This is some dangerous territory."

I finish that awkward convo and I ride over to Zora's dorm. Jaydah and Lilah pull up, too. I have to tell them. We begin casual conversation but Jaydah kills the vibe. "So, what's up with the SOS?" She asks. "I messed up." I answer. "Bitch." Zora says and I already know she knows. "What am I missing?" Lilah asks. "This freaky bitch done slept with her manager!" Jaydah yells out. "Shush!" I yell. Who knows if Zora's roommates are here. We branched out, after Freshman year because I took Summer classes and decided I didn't want to move again. Now only Jaydah and Lilah are still living together, with some random folks. "No you didn't." Lilah says, hoping it isn't true. I just lay back on Zora's bed. "Well was it good?" Zora asks. "Zora!" Lilah yells. She's seriously concerned. "Girl it's okay. It's not like she's the one that's married." Jaydah says, sounding like Ella. "That doesn't make it okay." Lilah folds her arms. "It doesn't but it's done. All we need to care about is Charity." Zora says as a matter of fact. "Yea, you're right." Everyone agrees. "Well at least it was good. Made it seem worth it." Lilah says, shocking us all. "Yea it was."

We chill, for a while, before the guys, minus Warren come over. My girls didn't make it awkward at all. I love them. Everything was real chill and I felt good. 7 o'clock rolls around and it's time for Devin's last class. "You better not miss the shuttle or you'll be driving to class." I point out. "Damn, it's 7 already?" Devin rushes to put his shoes back on. I decide to walk him to the shuttle that is schedule to arrive in 5 minutes. We walk hand in hand. "I'm gonna miss you, over the break." He says. "Damn, I keep forgetting I gotta go home." Classes are cancelled for Thursday and Friday, so I won't see him, until Monday. "I'm gonna miss you too. Don't forget to Facetime me, so I can see if y'all eating good." "Speaking of eating good, I should've bought a damn snack, for class. I don't get why an undergad class would be 7:30 - 8:45." I'm glad I'm not in his shoes. The shuttle comes and we kiss good bye. His kiss lasts so long, I thought the driver would leave his ass. Everyone else had already gotten on.

I make my way home, after saying bye, to everyone else. I just wanna lay in my bed and watch movies. I did my homework, at our lil study session at Zora's. I pull into a parking spot and get out. My phone rings and it's the one and only. "Hey, Marcus." I answer. "Hey, have you eaten?" He ask. "No, not yet. Why?" "I know I said I wanted to taste your cooking but I figured I'd let you taste mine. "What you mean?" "I got some lobster and fresh vegetables I can whip up, if you're down." I refuse to pass up seafood. "Yea, sure. I just got home." "Okay, cool. I'll be there in about 20 minutes." We hang up and I rush inside. I gotta make sure my place is clean.

7:30 rolls around and Marcus is at the door. He texted me to put the oven on, for him. "Hey, beautiful." He kisses my cheek, as I let him inside. He sits everything on the table and he goes to work. I can't believe he's really cooking lobster, for me. That stuff is NOT cheap. "What made you decide to cook for me and lobster at that?" "I don't know. I just figured you needed something special done for you." "You just gave me gifts, a few days ago," I say, referring to the panties. "You deserve more." He smiles. I watch in awe, as he cooks a gourmet looking meal. He even brought wine, to go with it. I decide to set the dining room table, to continue the vibes.

He finishes cooking and we sit down, at the table, like this is normal. Mind you, his wedding ring is still on his finger. Come to think of it, he didn't even take it off, when we had sex. How rude? I brush the thoughts out of my head, to enjoy his food. "I'm not gonna lie, Marcus. I'm impressed." I say, stuffing my face. "I know a thing or two." He winks. I text the group chat, with my girls, about this. Lobster? Oh he got moneeyyy.  Jaydah texts. He's Lobster Bae, now lmaoo. Zora texts. Everyone laughs at her text. I end up laughing out loud. "What's up?" Marcus asks. "Nothing. This is nice." I smile. He smiles back and I just melt.
