I've been trying to stay clear of being unprofessional with Marcus. I've also been trying to enjoy my relationship with Devin. I'm so stressed my grades are showing it. It's normally easy for me to make A's and lately that hasn't been the case. If I don't get my shit together, I won't keep up a 3.6 or better. I could cry but I made myself come to the library to study. Devin asked to come but I really just wanted to be alone. I'm happy he's still here and able to stay here, but the guilt is killing me. It'd be easier if he did have to transfer back to his old school.

I study for about two hours and I finally feel satisfied. I have a test later and I NEED to pass with an A. My phone vibrates and it's Marcus. I honestly don't want to answer. I just know it's not on anything professional. I still answer, though. "Hey." I say, unto the phone. "Hey, I just wanted to check on you." He says. "Thanks. I'm fine." I say simply. "We haven't really been talking and I'm trying to understand that. I just want things to go back to the way they were." "It can't, Marcus. I'm in a relationship. I will not do that to him." "I understand that.  I just want us to be friends." I don't know if I can but I know that I miss what we had. "Yea, okay." "Okay." With that, we end the conversation.

I don't know if talking to Marcus upped my spirit but all I know is that I aced my test. I feel like this is the perfect way to start my weekend. The crew and I are supposed to be going on a group date tonight and I really need it. "I'm tryna be the baddest bitch in the function, tonight." Zora says, into the phone. "Girl same! I need this!" I answer. "Jaydah and Lilah been picking out clothes all day. They tryna compete." She laughs. "You know how we do."

Seven o'clock rolls around and we all meet up at Dave & Busters. We like a good time and this place is not just for kids. We definitely over did ourselves but it's not in us to do anything differently. After paying for tickets and setting a reservation time, we all go find some games to play. "Oh I'm most definitely playing basketball." Devin heads toward the basketball game. I reluctantly follow him. I'm terrible at basketball.

We get to the station and some people are already there. Low and behold, it's Jasmine and some mystery man. I think it's the same one from Top Golf. I'm pretty sure I can't hide my shock right now. "They look like they're almost done." Devin turns to me. "Don't look like that, babe. I won't beat you too bad." He laughs. Little does he know how awkward this is. Once they finish the game, they turn our way and Jasmine looks like a deer caught in head lights. But only for a second. She smiles unnoticeably and they walk off. It pissed me off. Why is she cheating on Marcus? Maybe he really knows but doesn't want to leave her. Either way, it's fucked up.

We all play our games and we get head over to eat dinner. It's just my luck that Jasmine and her date are at a close table. Zora sees my face so I discreetly look Jasmine's way. She recognizes her and rolls her eyes. It makes me smile. "I'm definitely getting me a steak tonight." Dayquan says. "That doesn't go with the diet." Jeremy says. They both play football, for the school and they're on strict diets at some times. They get too big. "Fuck that diet." Dayquan says, making everybody laugh. He's so defiant.

Within 30 minutes, our food is out and we dive in. I can't help but notice a commotion, in the corner of my eye though. It's Jasmine and the mystery guy. Some girl is standing up above them. Shit, what if he's cheating too?! "So you dump me for her?" The girl yells. "She has a whole husband and they are NOT getting a divorce. Did she tell you that, Zay?" So that's his name. He looks at Jasmine as if he didn't know. Come to think of it, her ring is not on. "Jasmine. You said it was final." "Look things are complicated right now." She starts. "What the fuck? You lied to me! I would've never imposed if I knew." "That's why I didn't tell you." By now, waitresses are coming their way. "Oh my God." He starts putting on his jacket.

"He's cheating on me, too, Zay!" Jasmine yells. Oh shit. Oh shit. She better fucking not. Zora looks at me. Shit is about to go left. "I don't care about that. Two wrongs don't make a right. I left Caresha, thinking you were the right one and I was wrong." The girl, who I assume is Caresha, gives an "umhmm" look, while folding her arms. "Please, he doesn't know I'm leaving him. I just wanted to make sure you were all in before I left. I swear to God, Zay." Jasmine pleads. "Lets go." He simply says. "So you're leaving with her?" Caresha asks. "Mind your business. We drove together. I'm not leaving her here." He says as he puts down money, for their food. They're not even taking it, to go. Caresha's pissed and walks off. When Jasmine and Zay pass me, Jasmine eyes the shit out of me. She knows.
