We're all having a bomb ass time, at the party and Devin even keeps checking on me. It's the happiest I've been in a while. "Shout out my girl Charity. It's her birthday weekend and we going up all Spring Break!" JB shouts, on the mic. Our whole section and some other people cheer, for me. I take probably shot number 6, for the night. "I think you've had more than enough." Devin says, smiling, while trying not to ruin my mood. I know he's right. "I know. I'm done." I say. Hopefully that's not another lie. He smiles and kisses my forehead. So sweet. I honestly don't deserve him.

Morning comes and I am HUNGOVER. We all had a sleepover, in Jaydah and Lilah's living room. We had thick comforters, covering the whole floor and sleeping bags. They spent the night talking and watching movies, while my drunk ass slept. "You okay?" I hear Devin ask. He slept on the floor, near the couch, where I was. "I don't know." I grumble. He gets up and grab some ginger ale, from last night's pregame. "It's not the coldest but it should still fizz." "Thank you." I just really don't want to throw up. I still have the whole of next week, to get lit. We've decided to spend our Spring Break in Miami. Thankfully all of our families support our decision and gave us money to go. Dayquan and Devin were the only two who had to put most of the money up themselves. Even though it's my birthday, I've made the decision to give him more spending money. I really like him and I want him to have the most fun.

About two hours later, everyone is up and getting ready. We're going to Milk & Honey, for brunch. "We gone be late, dealing with they asses." Dayquan says. "Hell yea. Y'all should've got up at eight." Jeremy chimes in. "Eight? We just went to sleep around three!" Lilah yells, from her bedroom. "So. You know y'all take at least three hours to get ready. The reservation is at 12." "We're almost done, babe! Calm down!" Lilah yells again. "Umhmm." Jeremy mumbles. "Y'all a mess." I laugh, as I put my finishes touches on my outfit. "Damn." Devin says, from behind me. I borrowed Jaydah's full length mirror, to do my hair and make up, in the dining room. I can see Devin's admiration. "Thank you." I smile, through the mirror. How could I ever cheat on him. He hugs me, from behind and I almost melt. "I need to know everything but I don't want to know, while we're on break." He whispers. "Let's just have a good time, with our friends, okay?" "Of course." I smile, weakly. He kisses the side of my face and returns to the living room.

When 11:45 hits, I start heading for the door. "Alright everyone, it's go time!" Everyone finishes up what they're doing and head out. They boys follow, in Warren's car, behind us. You get a 10 minute grace period, for your reservation and we make it, just in time, before they canceled. The host walks us to our booth and I adjust my crown. I'm extra, so I bought me a birthday crown, to wear all week. "Your waiter will be right with you, in just a moment." He says. "I know we said we're getting bottomless mimosas but I don't know if I can take it." Lilah rubs her stomach. She's such a light weight that she threw up, last night, after like two drinks. "Yea, you give your liver some time, sis." Jaydah says. "I'm getting this mimosa!" We all laugh. Mimosas are essential for brunch.

When I see the waiters coming our way, with our food, I get too excited. My phone vibrates and I see that it's Marcus. My heart drops, a little. We haven't been speaking. I wait for them to sing me "Happy Birthday", before checking it. So you weren't going to tell me you quit? I saw your lil letter, to Lorenzo. I thought we were better than that, Princess? I really wish I didn't read that. "You okay?" Devin asks. "Yea, I'm fine." I lie and smile. I figure it's best I don't even respond. It's none of his business anyway.

I make my way to Walmart, for some last minute trip items. We leave tomorrow and I'm so excited. I've never taken a week long trip, without family. It's going to be so lit. I park and make my way in, grabbing a small basket, on the way in. I head straight for the hair product aisle. I need a better bonnet, since Jaydah just did my hair. I went with a middle part sew in, with a lace closure. I look so good! I turn down the aisle and I'm stopped in my tracks. I see Jasmine and it's only a matter of time, before she sees me. I gotta stop coming here. She looks up, at me and mugs me. "I heard you're leaving the hotel." She says. "Yea. I have to focus on graduation, coming up." I answer. It's not a complete lie. Marcus is a distraction. "I don't think it was professional of you to give such a short notice." "I don't think it's professional of Marcus discussing my personal business. It wasn't his to know," I say, with a little attitude. How dare they? She steps closer and is about to say something but stops.

"Charity?" I hear Marcus say. I don't know what exactly Jasmine knows but I'm playing it safe. "Oh hey, Marcus." I fake smile. "We always catch you in here." He laughs. "Yea, I'm just always missing some things. I'm actually in a hurry, to finish packing." "Oh right, you're going on vacation and then not coming back. Jasmine, this is who's leaving us," He says to her. "Oh wow. Is everything okay?" She asks, as if she didn't just scold me. "Yea, everything is fine. Just getting ready for graduation." "Oh, that's good." I quickly grab a bonnet. "Well, it's good seeing you guys. Take care!" I rush out of the aisle. What the hell was that?
