Although I only talked to Zora and Warren, all of our crew came to the police station. I drove alone, to clear my head and also because I might be here, all night. I'm not leaving him. We've already alerted Devin's parents and they're on the way. I know they hate being two hours away, now. "Please go home, guys. Leave it to the professionals, to figure this out." An officer says. "No thank you. Somebody is lying on my boyfriend and I'm not letting them get away with it. I'm the one with the bruise! I'm the one who you should be listening to! ME!" I yell. At this point, I'm pissed. I want to tell them about Marcus but who knows which officers are his friends. "Alright ma'am relax. Sit tight." He walks away. I could kill Marcus right now but then I'd never leave the police station.

I step outside and call Jasmine's number back. "Oh you got me fucked up!" I hear Marcus yell. "Y'all speaking to each other now?" Shit. "Marcus, wait!" I hear Jasmine yell. "Marcus!" I yell. "Nah, fuck y'all!" He yells and I assume starts hitting Jasmine. I hear her yelling. I mute the phone and run back inside. "Somebody help!" All of my friends stand up. "Someone needs to go to Marcus Walls' house. I don't have an address but he lives in Walden's Den. I think he's hurting his wife." Officer Collins walks in, as I put my phone on speaker. His eyes widen. "Let's get a car out there." One officer says. "Sergeant, I'll go." Officer Collins says. "No!" I yell. The sergeant looks at me. "He's friends with Marcus and I don't deem it safe for him to go along. Please." The sergeant looks at an angry Collins. He knows I know. "Alright Beta team, head out, now! Collins, in my office, now!" Collins doesn't stop eyeing me. "Collins!" He finally leaves. I get a text, from Jasmine's phone. You're going to wish you didn't do that. I have to assume it's Marcus. Marcus, please don't do this. I text back. This is Jasmine, stupid. I don't believe that one bit.

I pace back and forth for over an hour. Everyone just watches. They haven't released Devin yet. His parents are here and upset. We haven't heard about Jasmine. I'm losing it. "Charity West." The sergeant, from earlier, comes back out. "Come with me." I walk with him and he leads me to an interrogation room. "Is Devin okay?" I quickly ask. "I need to ask you some questions and I need them on record." "Okay."

He turns on a  camera and sits across from me. "Please state your name and date of birth." "Charity West. March 19, 1997." "How do you know Marcus Walls?" "He was my old manager, at the Golds Hotel." "Did you two have a relationship, outside of work?" He asks, getting personal. I hesitate. "Please answer the question." He nods to me. "Yes." "What kind of relationship? Platonic, romantic...?" "Romantic." I answered and shook my head. "Have you two had any problems, recently?" "Yes, I broke it off with him, to be with the person I love, Devin." "How did he take it?" "He was angry. He didn't believe me." "What makes you think he was angry?" "He started getting louder and louder with me. He even showed up at my dorm, unwanted." I rub my bruise. "He's the reason why I have this bruise." "What happened?" "He wanted to come in but I told him I had plans. He got upset and grabbed me. He pulled me into my dorm and wouldn't let me go. When he did let me go, he threw me and I hit our coffee table." "Is there anyone that witnessed this?" "No. My roommate was still on vacation...but Devin saw him talking to me! He got upset and left, because he thought I was seeing him again. He didn't see what happened next." "Did you tell anyone?" "No. Marcus apologized so much. I thought he was sorry and just wanted to forget about it."

The sergeant sighed. "Why did you not want Officer Collins to go to Marcus' house?" He asks. "Jasmine, Marcus' wife called me today and told me to be careful of who I tell this Marcus situation to." I started. "I had seen her at Walmart and she had a bruised faced. She told me it was Marcus, because he was upset I broke it off...Anyway, she said he had police friends. It makes sense. Why would Officer Collins push so hard to make it Devin's fault?" "What do you mean? You've seen Collins before?" The sergeant looks confused. "Yea, he came to the hospital, after my panic attack. Then he showed up at my dorm, accusing Devin, again." "Wait, when did you go to the hospital and why was he there?" "Monday. I assumed it was routine, since the doctors saw my bruise but after I saw that he and Marcus are friends on Facebook, I realized Jasmine is right. I called her back and now she's probably dead." My breathing starts to act up, again. "Relax, Ms. West. You didn't do anything wrong." The sergeant says and turns the camera off. "You did nothing wrong," he says, again and escorts me back to my friends.

About 20 minutes later, Devin walks into the room. His parents run toward him and pull him in for a well needed hug. It reminds me of a few days ago, when my parents had the same scared looks on their faces. "I'm okay. I'm okay." Devin says, as his mom checks his face. He sees me and I immediately start crying. This is all my fault. "It's okay, babe. You're the reason I'm free." He holds me close. "Wait, really?" I ask. "Yea. Your confession confirmed some kind of theory they had, about Marcus and Collins." He whispered. "What?" "Shh. Just wait. I'll explain, later." "Ms. West." Sergeant calls my name. "I have someone that wants to speak with you. He hands me a phone. "Hello?" "Hey, I'm alive." I hear Jasmine say. "Oh my God. Are you okay?" "Yea, I'm fine. I told them everything." "Me too. Are you going to be okay?" "Yea, Marcus is going to jail and I'll be divorcing him. I have found enough proof that he's been cheating. I'm giving him a run for his money." She laughs, faintly. I do the same. "Jasmine, I'm so sorry." I say. Everything is all my fault. "Thanks. And thank you for finally allowing me to leave. He's been cheating for years. I knew it but I loved him so much, I hoped he would stop." She sighs. "Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I'm okay and I'm sure we'll be seeing each other soon." "I'm sure of it."
