Norway's tropical tune maker Kygo is riding a big pop wave. He recently struck gold with Selena Gomez on his single "It Ain't Me," and today, he takes a more pleasantly-romantic turn with Korean-Persian singer-songwriter Elena.
"First Time" is a misty-eyed, reminiscent look at adolescent love. Elena knows how to work her way around a synth melody. Her smoky voice lilts strong above a subtle, building beat. Kygo left the steel drums at home, though his trademark easiness shines through.
