"Clarke, I'm so glad to see you again!" Exclaimed Kallie Kane as she engulfed Clarke in a hug.

"Hi Mrs. Collins" Clarke smiled, lovingly hugging her basic-second mother.

"Clarke, Marcus and I have been together for sixteen years, call me Mrs. Kane or Kallie" she insisted, smiling wide.

"Mrs. Kane" Clarke nods, the name feeling unfamiliar on her tongue. A gentle smile on her lips as Kallie brings her into the house.

"Clarke, welcome" Marcus Kane, Finn's step father hummed.
Clarke still, despite him being apart of their lives for over a decade, seeing him in their house aside from Mr. Collins was still a shock. It was part of the reason she refused to visit a lot.

"Kane" Clarke smiled as he pulled her into a hug.

"It's been a long time, is everything okay?" He hummed, looking down to the young girl.
Clarke looked up to him, his face bringing back memories of her mother and him in a slow burn relationship just for it to end with her mother leaving him in a movie theatre parking lot.

"Everything's fine" Clarke smiled, Kane's eyes drifting lightly behind her to Finn and Raven talking to Finn's mother, then back to Clarke.

"I see" he smiled lightly, patting the sides of her arms. "You'll do better" he reassured her, passing by and heading into the kitchen.
Clarke followed him with her eyes, eventually turning them until they landed on Finn.
He was smiling and holding Raven's hand, she was glowing as she spoke with Mrs. Collin's.
They were happy.

It was as if the lingering thought of the two of them ever having a chance together just, died.
She knew at that point, Finn was off limits not only physically, but mentally and it was not her place to destroy the happiness of her beloved friend in order to fill her own 'selfish need". She had to apologise to him and let him go.

It's time to move on. Do what's best for me.

She thought, a deep breath escaping her lungs as she pulled herself together. Finn's eyes met hers mid way through his conversation with his mother, and he smiled gently.
Clarke's look of sadness and jealousy slowly morphed into a look of happiness as she gently smiled back, the feeling of letting Finn go surfacing as she decided to find her own happiness.
