"I don't know the ins and outs of it.." Octavia sighed as she'd finished explaining everything to Clarke. "But I thought you should know.."

"They're." She choked, "they're together?"

"It seems that way.. I don't know for sure but.. I know how you feel about him. I just- I just didn't want you to hurt anymore."

Clarke nodded, the pain in her chest aching further with every breath. As if on queue, Eli began to cry from his room.
"One second." Clarke huffed, speedily walking down the hall, tears running down her cheeks as she made it to her sons room. She quickly swat the tear away, sniffing as she picked Eli up and began rocking him in her arm,
"It's okay baby" She hushed. "Mommy's here."

Octavia on the other hand couldn't shake the guilt. Clarke needed to know what she did, even if it meant hurting her, it was the right thing to do.

"What time is Raven arriving?" Clarke yelled from down the hall.

"Crap, I still gotta go get her." Octavia sighed, "I'll go get her now and maybe bring back some pizza's"

"Sounds like a plan" Clarke cooed. Snuggling into Eli, her fingers intertwined with Eli's curls. Oh how she wished he didn't look so much like his father.
She knew in that moment she had to speak to him.

"Uh, Octavia.." she shouted, catching Octavia as she was heading for the door.

"Yeah?"

"Do you think you could take me to see him?"

"Clarke, I don think that's-"

"Please." She stated. "I need to do this."

With a defeated look, she sighed, nodding in agreement to Clarke's request.
"Where are the baby car seats?" Her shoulders slumped.

-

The three girls were sat in the car, toddlers between them, parked out the front of Ash's house.
"Clarke, are you sure this is a good idea?" Raven queried from the back, Eli marvelling at her as he kept whacking Ravens arm.

"Nope." Clarke sighed, stepping from the car and making her way to Ash's house.
She knocked on the door, her breath sitting in her lungs like rocks as she heard a feminine set of footsteps walk her way. This was it, she was going to meet Bellamy's new girlfriend. She wished it was avoidable, but since she was standing by her house it clearly wasn't.

The door creaked, and there stood a tall, beautiful brunette. Her hair laced with silver highlights and a very visible stern look on her face.
"Can I help you?" She asked, her voice pierced Clarke's ears. She seemed physically perfect, she was clearly taller than Clarke which she assumed, would be perfect for Bellamy.

"Uh." Che choked, snapping back to reality. "Is Bellamy here?"

"Yeah, he's just inside. May I ask who are you?"

"I uh.." she sighed, her eyes lightly rolling. "I'm his ex.. are you his girlfriend." Clarke watched Ash' face grimace in delight, her posture falling back on her heels as she cocked her hip and folded her arms.

"I am." She smiled maniacally. "Were in love. I hope that doesn't bother you ."

Clarke was getting annoyed, her eyes visibly rolling this time as she looked past Ash and into her house, calling Bellamy's name.
Strangely quick, he got to the door, pulling it open as he sleuthed last Ash, pulling down his top.

"Clarke, what are you doing here?" He asked, notably exhausted, presumably from leaping from bed and running to the door.

"Can we talk?" She asked, here eyes drifting from him to Ash. "In private." She states, eyeing down Ash as she rolled here eyes and stepped inside.

"Yeah.." Bellamy huffed, closing the door as he stepped outside. "What's up?"

"What's up? That's all you have to say."

"Listen, Clarke. I can explain."

"No, I'm sick of people saying that. How about you all try this awesome new tactic called 'not being a dick to begin with', then you won't have to explain." She groaned, turning and walking away.

"Wait." He Called, grabbing her shoulder and turning her.

"I initially wanted to come ask you if..." she paused. "If you wanted to be in your children's life.."

"Clarke.. I told you I'm leaving." He bit his tongue, realising his deadline.

"I know." She shrugged. "I guess I also wanted to see if it was true.." she sighed, eyeing down Ash's house.

"Clarke.."

"No, don't." She stopped. "I'm just.. I'm tired, Bellamy. I'm so sick, and tired of doing everything alone I just.. I don't know anymore." She lowers her head lightly, her eyes drifting back to the car.
"I hope she makes you happy." She Called, turning and walking back to the car, not giving him another moment of her time. She didn't even look his way as Octavia started the car and promptly drove from sight.

-

He stood there, speechless. His arm rubbing the back of his neck as his body urged him to stop her, but he fought it back. Octavia was wrong. No matter what he does, he will never be what she needs.
His plans were set in place for him to leave next week and if he turned it down now, he'd never get another opportunity like that again.

But, as he stared into the window of Octavia car, he saw two little hands pressed against the window, and for the first time he saw his son. In that moment, the world shifted. He was responsible for them. He was responsible for them..
