"Hey, get up" Raven playfully called as she threw a stray pillow at Clarke."Hmm?" Clarke mumbled back.
"It's twelve o'clock in the afternoon and I'm going to Finn's."
"What? What does this have to do with me?" Clarke sleepily called, turning and sitting up in bed. Her loose grey shirt nearly hiding her form.
"itsthe start of summer" Raven urges, a glowing smile on her face. "Come with me!"
"Do I really have to go?"
"Yes!"
"Why?" Clarke groaned, sitting up and rubbing her face. "I don't want to just sit there and watch you two make out all day."
"We won't, I promise. Now get up and get ready!"
"What's the rush?"
"He's picking us up in half an hour!" Raven called, dashing out of the room.
Clarke hesitated, not wanting to face Finn after the other day, but the downside of staying home alone on her first day of summer picked her up.She got up, entering her ensuite bathroom and lazily undressing as she turned on her shower.
The water running as her mind wandered back to Finn. The two of them were best friends for years, Clarke had developed such strong feelings for him that it was hard to revert back to being 'just friends'
She stepped into the shower, the hot water dotting against her body in its hot embrace as she hung her head low. the thought of facing Finn dawning on her heavily,
would he apologise?
Should I?
Was it the better thing to do, or would it seem like a lazy way to put this all behind us.
Do I want him to explain himself? The thoughts slowly burning through her head as time passed her.
It wasn't until the siren song of Finn's car snapped her back. Two honks of a car horn echoed through her empty room, enticing her to get out of the shower.
Clarke's eyes darted across to her cracked bathroom door, now in a hurry.
She whipped out of the shower and into her bedroom. She quickly snapped on her underwear and a bra, using the towel to dry her hair as she rustling through her drawers to find a decent pair of clothes to wear, she didn't want to end on bad terms just to make him late the next time they meet.
She shimmied into her nicest jeans, buttoning up the top once she realised there was a hole in the knee.
"Dammit" she whispered, looking out her window to see Finn, impatiently waiting for the girls.
"No time to change." She groaned, grabbing her basic, grey, mid-sleeve length top and putting it on, along with just grabbing her boots and socks as she walked out the door.-
"Took you long enough!" Finn called as Clarke was first to his car.
"Where's Raven?"Raven never put much thought into her clothes, typically always wearing the same black jeans and red jacket, along with whatever long sleeve top she could find. She was usually never the last one out.
"She's probably on her way.." Clarke said quietly as she kept her distance and made her way to the back seat.
Finn grabbed her shoulder, turning her, the two were close as she looked to him, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of love and pain as they stood inches from each other.
"Clarke, are we..." he began, stammering as his eyes met with her lips. "Are we okay?"
Clarke nodded slightly, sighing.
"I'm just.. it's a bit hard to cope but. We're fine." Clarke smiled lightly, placing her hand on Finn's shoulder as her head slightly nodded. He smiled, staring into her blue eyes as Raven's voice jolted them in her direction.
"Sorry, I was brushing my teeth" she smiled, running over and engulfing him in a loving hug.Clarke rolled her eyes as she jumped into the back seat of his car.
Her gaze drifting to the window in an attempt to ignore Raven and Finn's constant romantic displays.
