"You're still thinking about him?" Kallie cooed, mixing sugar in with her coffee."Was it that obvious." Clarke huffed, taking a sip of her water.
"I can tell, just by the way you look at Eli.. he looks just like his father." Kallie smiled, curling Eli's black curls behind his ear as he mindlessly played with his toy. "I never expected Bellamy to reject three like this... even though he's not my son.." she sighed, shaking her head. "I thought he was better than this.."
"Now honey, we all know what Bellamy is like." Kane sighed, placing down a small plate of food before each baby. "He has no emotional control. He's often unpredictable." Kane shrugged, his eyes meeting Clarke. "We never thought he'd love you the way he does.."
"Did.." Clarke huffed, another sip of her drink as Emma began to cough.
"Clarke. I'll admit, I don't know as much about my son as I wish I did. I was deployed in Afghanistan for most of his young life.. I miss out on a lot of my kids early years.. but never in Bellamy's life have i sensed a love as deep as he has for you." Huffed Kane.
"I mean. Octavia was his world. Nothing ever compared to his little sister." Smiled Kallie as she visibly reminisced on the early years of her married life, "then he met you.."
Clarke's mind wandered, from Bellamy back to her kids. The love she had for him was unconditional, but she was a mother now. She couldn't be waiting around for her knight in shining armour if he didn't want to be apart of her family. She put her love for him aside, focusing on her children.
-Left alone with his thoughts, he sighed, staring at the black wall of sky, dotted with stars.
He'd always wanted a family, kids even. But now, that he's presented with them, he's abandon them. He's abandon Clarke.Pearly wining at his side, Bellamy lazily places a hand over his beloved dogs head, patting her gently as his gaze remained unbroken.
Hours had passed of him beating himself up, why hadn't he tried to be in contact with her sooner?
Why didn't he see the signs that something was wrong..
Why now, that she's back in his life with two of the most precious children he's ever seen, does he reject her? All for what, a future in which he neglects his family, works 9 to 5 in some boring het high paying job..His mind kept wandering back to Emma. Her beautiful, crystal blue eyes replicating that of her mother's. It was his fault she got pregnant, his fault she had to raise them alone, and yet, the only thing that he feels is pulling him back, is the thought of having to leave them in less than a month.
In that moment, his mind was made up. He knew what he had to do, but his father wouldn't approve.. his family wouldn't approve. But it was his life and this, this was his choice.
