Virgil was standing there staring at the three boys running about the living room playing and being kids but he couldn't stop feeling anxious. Something was VERY wrong. For one... It's been nearly two weeks since he's seen Remus. He's tried asking Deceit if he's seen him at all but the boy just looked away holding back the tears that only made that sinking feeling Virgil had worse.
That was how he found himself talking to Logan. Virgil was a very observant person much like Deceit if not more. He could see just how much Remus leaned on the logical side when all this started. It wasn't that surprising to find out that Logan was aware of the problem. Remus hadn't been with Deceit at all for two whole weeks... The longest he's ever gone was one.
That very man was currently laying there on his floor eyes wide open in total shock as his mind screamed at him... No. It was no longer 'his mind' that was screaming at him. Remus had lost control of all the intrusive thought he kept bottled up for Thomas. Now they were literally voices screaming out at him like a cacophony of madness and hate. Remus aura branched out without order twisting the room about as Remus fell deep into the pit of horror the voices dragged him into.
Both Virgil and Logan were terrified. They didn't know the state Remus was in and they feared the worst. They both ran to find Roman who had been trying to get a hold of Remus. Unfortunately, he held no good answers. All Roman could tell them was the door refused to open. Virgil was an anxious mess by this point. He remembered what happened the last time Deceit and Remus were apart to long. He never wanted that to happen ever again so he begged the snake never to leave Remus. He never wanted to see the man in so much pain. He couldn't even explain it. The fear still fresh after all these years. The total agony Remus had been in scared Virgil to the point he thought the man was going to die.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Remus screamed out against the voices stumbling out into the darker living room. "Please just shut up. LEAVE ME ALONE!" The whole place was warping under him unchecked aura as his mind shattered around him. "I can't take it anymore. Just stop it please!" Everything hurt. Everything... HE was screaming out in pain in anger... Why wouldn't the voices just shut up? Why wouldn't they leave him alone? "Please, I'm begging you... Te ruego ... solo déjame pudrirme en el silencio. Por favor..." He could hear the wall creaking as the shifted under the immense dark pressure he was giving off. The world dimmed as if someone had put a blanket over the sun but nothing ever stopped the voices. "Por favor, ya no me importa. No me importa ... Tú ganas. Solo por favor ... cállate."
Remus mind shattered entirely, his body freezing up as the tears fell from his eyes. He couldn't block them out any longer. 'Stupid Remus thinking he could be anything other than the villain.' 'You'll never be anything but scary.' 'Forget Deceit... YOU COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT YOUR CREATIONS!' Remus couldn't even whimper as his hands hit the floor limply his sides. He just stayed there in on his knees staring blankly at the floor as the worlds screamed around him. 'Some father you are... you turned your creations to stone over a backfired curse.' 'Patton was right you are way too dangerous.' 'You'll only end up killing them all.' 'You want to rot in the silence so bad... why don't you rot in the knowledge that you don't deserve a single thing.'
"PATTON!" Virgil cried out as he raised to find Patton coming out of the kitchen, a look of surprise on his face as Virgil grabbed his arms a tiny bit to hard. "Please... PLEASE tell me you've seen Remus!"
"No, kiddo. I can't say I have." Everyone by this point was feeling the immense anxious aura Virgi l was inadvertently letting off. However, Patton was smiling away as if nothing could possibly be wrong. "What's wrong, Kiddo?"
"When was the last time Remus actually spent time with Deceit?" Roman's eyes narrowed in concern as he noticed Logan and Virgil both shaking, the aforementioned if only slightly.
"Why does it matter, Love? Everything completely..."
"DAD, THIS IS SERIOUS REMUS COULD BE IN VERY BIG DANGER!" The whole palace went deafly silent. Patton's face fell as Virgil began to cry.
"W-Wait... What do you..."
"Remus CANNOT be away from Deceit for too long." Virgil stumbled back as the anxiety tore at it. What if he was to late? What if Remus already broke? What if it happened again? What if...
"Patton if you know something, you must inform us." Patton's eyes darted about from person to person until he glanced back at the kids with a sad look in his eyes.
"Dad, please... Remus he... He could be in real danger right now." Virgil's voice cracked as Patton looked back at them with guilt in his eyes clear as day. "Patton? What did you do?"
"H-He... He hurt you... Both of you. He snapped worse than anything he's done before... I-I just wanted to protect you all." The horror on the three men's faces could make Satan himself feel guilty.
"Yes but Dad..." Emile tugged on his Fathers light blue shirt catching everyone's attention. "...that was clearly a case of Aang getting over emotional over the pain of his entire tribe getting killed by the fire nation leaving him all alone and without any family anymore, thus triggering as avatar state threatening to send Katara and Sokka flying off the mountain and putting them at risk. Remus is Aang, Roman is Katara, and Virgil is Sokka."
"Basically was Emile is saying is you can't blame the Rat man for what happened in his... "avatar state'." Sleep called over as he sipped his juice box pushing his sunglasses up.
"I'm sorry... I-I was just so scared. I..." Patton tensed up seeing how everyone was so horrified. "I told him to stay away from everyone. I told him... I told him to say away from the kids."
"SHIT!" Virgil took off running so fast no one even had time to realize what just happened. When they finally caught up to him Virgil was banging on the door calling out for the Darker man but nothing. Even though They could hear what sounded like a muffled onesided conversation. Virgil's heart plummeted. "ROMAN DELETE THE DOOR!" Roman only nodded not even wasting any time. The moment the door vanished everyone was slammed with the intense dark pressure making all but Deceit and Virgil lose their breath. "REMUS!"
"Oh god..." Patton whimpered out as Virgil ran over to the man in question. If his heart wasn't already broken, it was beyond repair at this point. Remus was in total mental shock just sitting there limply on his knees. His dazed and dull eyes never moved once even when the voice screamed around him. Virgil wanted to yell at them all to fuck off, but he knew that wouldn't do anything. Only Remus could control the intrusive thoughts and right now his mind was to far broken to do anything. He was practically a zombie right now. The entire dark side of the palace looked as in satan decided to come and tear it all a new one. Remus's unchecked aura had twisted it so bad it was trying to corrupt him... and so far it was working. They had to get Remus out of there and fast. "K-Kiddo..."
"DON'T!" Virgil's voice glitched menacingly as his fear turned to anger. He was Roman's partner. He was Remus friend. To Virgil at that moment, he was watching a man that might as well have been his brother suffer in a way that could literally break a man... and it was Patton's fault. "Roman, you need to get him out of here now."
"On it." Roman quickly and carefully picked his brother up who met his eyes for only a moment before his whole body shut down. Roman freaked seeing his brother fall limp in his arms but he didn't waste any time getting him as far from that part of the palace as he could. "It's ok, brother. I've got you... Prometo que no dejaré que esto vuelva a suceder nunca más."
