Rana POV

It was three am and I couldn't sleep any longer. The noises of the hotel forcing me to get up and busy my mind. I removed myself from Zak's coiled arms and wrap my robe around me. Gracie and Brutus were on the sofa, snoring in competition with Zak.

I quietly closed the bedroom door and made a cup of coffee before going onto the balcony. My mind ran back to Ireland, sending a cold chill down my spine.

"Can't sleep either?" I jumped slightly and glanced to Zak, sweats and no shirt.

"Ireland is on my mind. I'm scared for you guys."

"But you can -"

"I physically can't go in the house. My-" I sighed before taking a sip of coffee. "When Divity has strong feelings of any kind. We bleed it into our surroundings. Like how spirits leave their energy in walls. Remember energy can only be transferred. Not destroyed. So whenever Lucifer and I fallout on earth. It leaves darkness of a whole new kind. The darkest parts of me are in that house. It's like a skin I shed there." There was urgency in my tone that I didn't even mean to show. "I can kill you all in that house. That part of me. When it left my body and made room for a new little slice of darkness to grow. It was like a weight being lifted off of me."

Zak fixed his glasses before sitting down, pulling me into his lap. He stole my coffee and took a sip, his other hand stroking my thigh.

"Rana. You know I can't change their minds. What can we do to be safe?" I gnawed on my lip for a few moments in thought. He sat the coffee down on the table.

"I'll obviously have to go. However I'm not allowed inside. You need to wear a rosary that day. Even if it burns don't take it off. Lucifer's spirit is worst than mine there. He left anger and I left something other than anger. I left betrayal and pain.  My brother's fury is something that will attack. More likely than my spirit. However mine would be more than happy to piggy back onto the damage Lucifer causes." I couldn't help but lower my eyes. "Zak I don't want you to see that side of me." His hand went under my chin, forcing me to look at him.

"Rana I understand. Show me right now. I'm not scared or worried you'll snap at me." I glanced over to the open air, there wasn't a soul to be heard. A sigh escaped me as I dropped my robe slightly, large wings expanding behind me. All the while half my body turned that demonic shade of red, the iris turning red. Meanwhile the other stayed the same, yet a blue eye turned golden. My hair turned black as night, though staying long. I understood why human felt ugly, but this took the cake. I couldn't look at him, not like this at all. Yet his hand went for my chin, gently turning me to look at him.

Tears welled in my eyes, yet of course the demonic side had to be overboard and cry tears of blood. I could feel them daring to slide down my cheeks.

"You are gorgeous." Zak whispered before his hand reached out to brush a black feather. "Evil the darkest side of you is Rana." He looked back to me before pressing a kiss to my lips. I felt like I could believe him, though it was difficult. "I love you even in death." I looked into his eyes before nodding. Was this what it felt like? Love? A bubbly sensation in the stomach with a hint of nausea?

"Love?"

"Yes. I love even the darkness." My wings went back to hiding before I managed a smile, shifting back to human features.

"I love you. Even if you are mortal and temperamental." He rolled his eyes before scooping me up.

"Come on. Let's try to sleep. We've got some creepy places to see in the daylight!" I groaned even when laying down in bed, surrounded by the warm blankets and body heat.

"Zak?" It came out as a whisper from my throat.

"Hmm?" I could tell he'd already begun falling back asleep, that sip of coffee had done nothing for him.

"Nick and Aaron are getting suspicious aren't they?"

"Yeah, but Aaron I know will accept you Rana. Billy and Jay would be thrilled. As for Nick he's really religious. It might take him more time to agree with it." Zak sighed and pressed a kiss to my shoulder. "Worse case scenario he throws a fit and walks out." My eyes were growing heavy as Zak's finger tips drew patterns on my side and along my hip. "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. I promise." I felt ashamed that his friends would abandon him because of me. Maybe then would be the time for a vacation back to hell to check on things. If only father would be so welcoming to Lucifer like Amenadiel when he decided to stay on earth. Amenadiel being the other brother who was also on earth and falling for a human.

"I know darling." A yawn escaped me as I closed my eyes. Yet tomorrow would bring nothing like what Ireland awaited. It was a place even the devil and his sister wouldn't want to go. For the memories haunting those halls were stained with more than just human spirits. It was stained with the darkness of Divity itself. Maybe it would be a good idea to bring a angel with us who was fully on God's side. My sliver city brother on earth who had never been to hell to visit. Dad's favourite child behind Lucifer.

I settled in and mentally nodded to myself. Maybe we could handle Ireland with the right Divine fire power at our disposal. That and a little patience.
