Rana POV
"Do you know where Lucifer is?" I lifted my head from where it rested on the piano. Anger bubbled in my stomach once more.
"No Chloe. I do not know where he is at the moment. I haven't seen him in a three weeks." Neither had anyone else seen him for that matter. For those weeks I'd also ignored everyone else. She sighed and looked down. I could see she had feelings for my brother. Feelings she refused to let show.
"If you do. Can you tell him to call me? We're all worried at the station." I nodded before she walked out of Lux. My brother had done it again it seemed. Abandoned me on earth. I poured a drink then downed the contents. Maze sighed and wandered over.
"You're going to let him have this much power over you?"
"Mazikeen. He doesn't have power over me. He just never says goodbye. I know you hate earth, but only Luci can take you back to hell if you wanted to go." She shook her head, picking at something on the piano.
"I think he's still on earth. He wouldn't abandon us like-"
"He has before." My body felt tense. I couldn't bleed my energy in Lux. It'd turn into the worse club in town. "I need to take a walk." She nodded and took my glass along with the now empty bottle. "Let me know if he calls."
"Of course Rana." I forced myself to stand, though dizzy from the sheer amount of liqour coursing through my veins. The anger made me want to vomit and release another dark sliver of my soul into this world. I fixed my leather coat before wandering outside. The semi brisk night LA air was already helping.
I took a deep breath and wandered down to where the ghost adventures crew had investigated. I knew it was abandoned and hence the easiest place to do this act. I gripped my stomach and kept my eyes down, trying my best to contain myself. My internal demons were howling, clawing at my throat.
"Rana?" My body tensed as I looked up. Zak and Amenadiel. A smile disappearing as he saw my expression. How the two met was beyond me. Then again my phone and everything else had been lingering in Lucifer's penthouse.
"Go. I'll be right back." I said through clenched teeth. I kept walking though I could sense my brother right behind me. His hand touched my back and I winced, my left eyes shifting red. I growled lowly in response. Amenadiel knew and took a head start as to where I was going.
He forced open the door and I ran in, collapsing as he closed it. I didn't know they were behind me, getting to witness it all. A screech came from my chest as I opened my mouth to the sky. A black smoke coming from my mouth. It has red eyes, turning into a mere shadow. It screamed louder than I could handle. I moved to the fetal position, covering my ears. I was tired, too tired to walk or even move. Yet the overpowering darkness was gone. Released to haunt the living. another small weight off my shoulders.
I felt myself being picked up and instantly knew I was in Zak's arms by the smell of the cologne. Amenadiel was checking my pulse before I could feel the cold LA air again.
"He left." I mumbled, forcing my eyes to open. "He won't answer. Luci he's gone." I looked to my older brother.
"I know. I can't find him either. Though doesn't mean releasing those into the world Rana." I groaned and let my head fall against Zak's chest. It was all a blur from there. That was until I was in Lucifer's penthouse bed, listening to the sounds of a conversation.
"That was nothing compared to the one in Ireland. That thing in Ireland is nearly quadruple." Amenadiel sighed, I could hear him pacing. "Your friends. Do you think they can handle this?"
"One knows. Aaron he's not phased. The others I'm not so sure. I trust Aaron the most." I sat up, wide eyed and once again still angry. "He wants Rana safe too. Just as much as I do."
"I highly doubt that. You and my sister are linked. If you have any intention of harming her I suggest-"
"I don't. Listen you reached out to me because of her right? I see Ireland is dangerous, but we can't not investigate." I got up, wandering to the living room.
"Aaron knows?" I looked to Zak whose eyes were now wide.
"Rana he found the memory card. I destroyed it now. I promise." I nodded before sinking into the sofa. The lack of energy really did have a effect on me. The elevator dinged and just like that it returned. A champagne bottle popped from the elevator and a chuckled emitted.
"Guess whose home from a much needed Las Vegas gambling and well you know the rest!" Luci looked at what laid before him in the penthouse. I could feel the anger once more. I charged my brother and tossed him into the wall.
"You fucking prick! Leaving for weeks and not taking your bloody cell!" Lucifer groaned and rubbed his head as I towered over him.
"I was already in Vegas when I realized I'd forgotten it! What has your knickers bunched! Did you think I'd left without you?!" He stood and now I felt so small. Only his words went from harsh to soft once he realized. "Rana did you really think I'd do that to you again? Dearest sister?" I lowered my head yet he raised. "I'm not leaving you. I came to earth so you wouldn't be alone. Plus this place is way better than hell."
It was rare that we showed emotion like this especially with an audience. Yet he kissed my forehead before hugging me. I felt stupid now for thinking he'd leave. Yet he was Luci. He always had a motive.
