Chapter 13: A Promise made to Fulfill (Tournament Finals)

~ After 10 Minutes ~

(Kurosaki's POV)

This is bad. I'm now alone. Suzuri had been stabbed several times. With her dead, her pet wolves didn't have already the initiative to attack. But for Sakuri-san, she's still alive. But, she's already getting weak due to the intense battle against Curara, who was already taken down.

Oyama and I are having a tough time dealing with Asuki. Since she's a cat person I'll have to distract her by throwing the can of sardines I'm holding inside the right pocket of my shirt.

When I charged towards Asuki I threw the can. The moment she gazed at it her eyes turned to hearts and quickly grabbed it.

While she was distracted I brought out my sniper rifle, aimed at her, activated my ability and shot her plenty of times till she goes down. Thus, I was victorious.

I gazed at Sakuri. She was already on the floor, powerless.

"What a splendid battle! Sakuri's Team has won the match and the only person left standing is that young lady who fought hard till the end. Let's give her a round of applause." Fuyukawa said in High Spirits.

As soon as I could hear people clapping I was surprised. I'm Kurosaki Shizana, 12 Years Old. I was part of the Mafia 2 Years ago. This was after the city I lived in was buried in ashes. I lived by myself after World War II. My parents died on the day of the war.

I was fond of reading books. So I'm a bookish person. I read books that are related to studying like History, Science, Math, etc.

After I've read all of those Subject related books I enrolled at Serabaki Academy. After studying there for 5 Years I was able to collect dozens of ribbons.

I was Top 1 from Grade 1 till Grade 4. I'm now in the 5th Grade, still acing through my activities. Well to be honest enough I'm not living by myself.

I have a little brother. His name is Kurosaki Iseri. He's still studying in the 4th Grade. I also take care of him and come to his aid whenever he needed my help.

Anyways, back to reality. So I went to the Infirmary with Sakuri-san. It was a very long walk and I was already getting tired. Well, considering that I'am still an Elementary Student and I have a small height and body. That makes a perfect reason.

I'am still a kid and not yet a teen. I'am a girl and not some sort of a boy who could still carry on no matter how heavy an object is.

As soon as Sakuri and I have arrived in the Infirmary I placed Sakuri on the bed. I panted a bit, sat down on a chair, and drank my bottled water and deeply sighed.

After a few seconds, a person came in and closed the door. It was Ms. Alice. "Feeling better Kurosaki?" She asked. "Y-Yes but somehow, my energy isn't regenerating. It's so -- Kyahh!!"

I cut my sentence when Ms. Alice grabbed my left arm and quickly injected me with a syringe.

"Umm... It hurts!" I dejectedly said.

"I knew you were going to say that. Anyways, let's have a talk while Mr. Bunny takes care of Sakuri-san's condition." Alice smiled and sat beside me.

I saw Alice's pure white bunny with some sort of blue clothing. It hopped above Sakuri's bed and started operating her.

"I'm kind of curious. What was your purpose for joining Valerie's Team, the Legion Mafia at a very young age?" Alice curiously asked.

"After my Father and Mother passed away -- No, let me just tell you how I ended up in the Legion Mafia.
