((I came up with the idea for this while listening to Disturbed's song 'I'm Alive' from their album Ten Thousand Fists. Enjoy!))

Herobrine's POV

I glare at Notch through the bars of my cell and feel rage building within me. "I REFUSE TO DENY WHO I AM BECAUSE OF YOU!! YOU CANNOT CHANGE ME!! NOBODY CAN!! TO CHANGE MYSELF I'D RATHER DIE! THOUGH YOU COULD NOT UNDERSTAND!! I'M NO SLAVE!! I'M NO ONES SLAVE OR PROPERTY YET YOU WOULD USE ME AS A BARGAINING CHIP?!! I'M SO SICK OF THIS JADED WORLD I LIVE IN!! THE CORRUPTION! THE DECEIT! THE LIES!! YOU REEK OF IT ALL!!" I wrap my hands around the bars of the cell and pull as hard as I can, bending them with a snarl on my face. Notch sighs heavily. "You're giving me a headache brother. Please for the love of God calm down! You need to be married off so I can end this bloody war with King Ogrin. His daughter is very nice, I've met her." I glare at him and reach my hand through the bars and grab Notch's throat bringing his face close to mine. "LET THE WAR RAGE ON THEN! I HOPE EVERYONE DIES INCLUDING YOU!! YOU ARE FORCING ME TO CHANGE FOR YOUR OWN ENDS!! WELL I'M TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW I CHANGE FOR NO MAN!! I WILL DIE BEFORE I BETRAY WHO I AM! SO GO AHEAD AND EXECUTE ME IF YOU WANT I'LL GO TO HELL WITH A GRIN KNOWING THAT I DID NOT GIVE INTO YOU!!" I release Notch's throat, he backs up and coughs. Giving me the opportunity to escape this Hell! I bend the bars some more, enough so I can get through. Then take off down the hall, teleporting away to the armory where I grab my sword, bow and quiver, shield, and helmet before teleporting to the stables, saddling up a recent horse Notch bought named 'Gunner' and take off down the road. Ignoring the shouts of the guards as they attempt to pull up the drawbridge, without thinking I have Gunner jump, letting us land safely on the other side. Without so much as a backwards glance I gallop into the dark forest ahead, fearing nothing. The mobs know who I am at this point.

While riding I am stopped by several skeletons, drawing my sword I point it at them. They in turn point their arrows at me. I huff in annoyance. "What is it? I'm in a bit of a hurry right now!" A skeleton hands me a scroll which I read carefully. "To whomever receives this, please send help! I am being held against my will by Illagers who refuse to let me go! I have no food, water, or weapons left and fear they may kill me soon. I am getting weaker every day and have been here for over a week. I'm nothing more than a traveler so I cannot offer anything in the ways of riches or a kingdom. But I will be indebted to you for the rest of my life." The signature was smudged so I could not read it clearly. I tucked the scroll into my pocket. "I'll do it." An Enderman stepped out from the trees and Gunner backed up, snorting and neighing in protest. "Relax boy." The Enderman walked towards us and touched me and Gunner, teleporting us into a desert. I nodded my thanks to the Enderman and it disappeared. Looking around I find an Illager outpost. "Shit, this is going to be more difficult than I thought.

But I love a challenge! So I galloped full speed towards the Illager outpost, Gunner kicking up sand behind him as he went. With my shield in my left hand and my sword in my right I blocked the arrows from the Illagers crossbows. Cutting them down as they pulled back to put a new arrow in the crossbow. When dawn rose it revealed total carnage. Illagers with their necks cut wide open, some even missing their heads. My diamond blade dripping with their blood onto the hot sand. Triumphant I entered the outpost, trying to find the person who was held captive. I loudly shouted. "HELLO?! SAY SOMETHING!" A feminine voice replied from upstairs. "HERE!! I-I'M HERE!!" I dashed up the cobblestone stairs and entered a room to find a young woman hog-tied. "H-HELP!" I walked towards her, sword in hand. She is terribly frightened so I have to calm her. "It's okay. I'm here to help. Now hold still so I can cut these ropes." She nods her head and with one strike from my blade they are cut. She gets up and hugs me tightly despite me being covered in dust, blood, and sweat.

"OH THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR!" I smile. "You should be thanking the skeletons who brought me your note." I pulled the scroll from my pocket and handed it to her. When she opens it and reads the contents I see tears pouring down her cheeks. "I-I don't know what to say. I-I just threw it out the window when the guard wasn't looking and prayed that someone would find it and rescue me!" I smile and wipe the tears from her cheeks accidentally smearing blood across her face. She pays it no mind though. "S-Sir, what's your name? Mine's Y/N." I sigh. "My name is Herobrine. I am sure you have heard of me." She nods her head. A deep urge inside me makes me pull her into a kiss. To my relief she kisses back and the world seems to slow down around me.

When I pull back from the kiss she stares at me, face as red as Netherrack. I take her hands in mine. "I want nothing to do with Notch! I am a man who cannot stay in one place forever, and all I want is to live my life freely. I said to my brother I would prefer death than to betray who I am. I escaped the castle and am now presumably exiled. Do not call me prince or by any other honorary titles. Just call me Herobrine! I want to forget about my past with Notch. Can you please do this for me?" Y/N nods her head yes after I tell her all of this. I smile. "Great. Now we should get going. Gunner can hold two people easily." I lead her downstairs and outside where Gunner stands impatiently. Neighing at me as I place Y/N on the saddle and then myself. With my arms around her I take the reins and set off in a random direction, ready for whatever life throws at me and Y/N.
