"After all your sister said to you, you're still afraid of me meeting your parents?" Raye asked.

She was cradling my head on her chest as we both laid staring up at the ceiling in my dimly lit bedroom. Her fingers were roaming freely in between the curls of my hair and I've never enjoyed anything better. The way she would tenderly stroke my scalp while threading her fingers through my hair was perfection.

"I'm not entirely scared Raye, I'm just thinking of endless possibilities on how it could go,"
I replied, still savouring her touch.

"Can we make a deal, please because I think it's about time we do?"

"Make a deal, about what?"

Raye moved from under me to sit with her legs folded underneath her body and she glared down at me.

"The deal is simple. We aren't capable of being sure what the future holds, so I wanna speak in accordance. If we're still together in the next eight months and you still want to introduce me to your family, go ahead but as of right now you don't have too."

"What?" I was sitting up now, staring hard at her.

"Of course we're still going to be together in the next eight months."

"Calm down. If you believe that just as much as I do we can talk about meeting your mom and dad then but right now let's focus on us okay?"

"Okay, I guess," I replied and she leaned forward to kiss me on my forehead.

"And what about us?" I added after she'd laid back down again.

"I've been thinking and I know you've said before that you don't want me to help you move to another apartment, but I can't just let It sit like that. I still want to make sure that you're safe Brie, all the time."

"I am, I have you."

"Yes but what about when I'm not around and it's just you?
I want to be certain that you'll never be in danger and it's why I want you to move in with me," Raye said softly to me and froze.

I didn't speak for a while, I just stared at her face as she laid in front of me watching, waiting for me to say something. Anything.

"You're serious about that?"

"Yes, I am. Think about it please okay. I know you probably wouldn't want too, you'll think it's too soon, but please.

You'll never have to take the bus or a cab to get home again, someone will always be there to take you wherever you need. You'll be around my guys, the ones that you're familiar with, we'll get to see each other often and most importantly we'll get to be alone often."
She said reaching in and kissing me softly on my lips. I kissed back, savouring how sweet and familiar she tasted to me.

"I'll think about it, I promise."

I was going to, I meant that sincerely because there was something that Chris told me that still lingers at the back of my mind.

He told me that danger was all around me now that I was dating Raye because those that needed to know such a piece of crucial information about her already knows who I am and possibly where I lived, all the scary things.

The car that was parked at the side of the road while we stood at the restaurant that night she saw my friends and tonight's episode with the car that looked familiar to Raye's that left before she came could've belonged to anyone, literally anyone.
Who am I to know who it could've been?

So I definitely was going to think about Raye's invitation to move in. I loved her and if having her meant being surrounded by danger, I needed to think and move accordingly.
After all, anything to have her right?

"She wants me to move in with her," I spoke confidently around my friends, the only difference this time was that only Christopher knew the seriousness of the matter. Mia and Ava just saw it as two girlfriends contemplating moving in together, but it was much deeper than that.

"Fuck, already? This girl is serious!" Mia confessed.

"She is and honestly I'm considering it. We get along fine, and I actually like her so why not?
The last girlfriend I moved in with wasn't as committed or half-decent as Raye."

"You don't have to explain anything to us, babe. If she's making you happy and likewise, go for it." Said Ava and I smiled sweetly. My eyes eventually veered to Chris who was sitting quietly beside Ava, and he hadn't pitched in on the topic as yet.

"What do you think?" I nodded at him and he folded his arm across his chest while he regarded me.

"I think you should go for it. Raye seems mature enough and pretty cool. Moving in with her would be the wise thing to do,"

"I see. I haven't told her anything yet but I just may do it." I said and Ava clapped.

"Yay!
Look at you Brie, moving in with ya girlfriend. Only a few months ago you were single living a boring life, now you're getting action every week and you're glowing hard as fuck." Mia said and I laughed, hard. She was right a few months ago none of this seemed plausible, nor would I have ever imagined doing any of this but here I was, addicted to this girl in so many ways.

After we'd all been making or way back to our respective floors at the hospital, Christopher stayed behind with me as usual and we walked side by side for a while, back to the locker room.

"Any reason, in particular, you've come to make such a decision about moving in with Raye so fast?

"I'm concerned,"

"About what?"

"Everything that's happening and before it could get worse. I wanna do something about it," I replied and he stopped me.
Christopher was tall so I had to look up into his eyes as he peered down.

"What scared you?" He asked softer, looking around to make sure those passing couldn't quite hear anything of our conversation.

"A lot. That night we saw Raye at the restaurant when you left a car was parked away from us, just creepy ya know and Raye got weird and pulled a gun out. We left before anything could've happened. Then a few days ago a car was parked outside of my apartment building that resembled the same car and it left before Raye got home to me."

"Do you fear you're being watched?"

"Yes, either that or someone's pulling a joke which by the way isn't funny."

"It's probably nothing Brie but you're right, better to be safe than sorry."

"Exactly and it's why I'll move in with her."

"Good. Have you told her though, about the car you saw?"

"No, I haven't. She's already stressed, and I don't want her worrying over something I could've imagined ya know."

"I see. Just be careful is all I'm saying. Don't keep things from her either, if you experience or see something that makes you feel off, tell her. Sometimes it's good to work with your gut."
Christopher advised and I allowed his words to sink deeper.

He was always right about everything.
I had no reason being afraid to tell Raye how I felt and what I saw, she's supposed to understand and possibly help. Keeping things to myself could just make everything worse and I didn't want to do that.

Once my shift at the hospital was over, I left immediately. Christopher wanted to follow me home solely because of what I said, but I told him it was fine and I left without him.

Across the street again, I saw the same car parked but my fear and anxiety over it dissipated when I got inside to find Raye sleeping in my bed.
There were so many mixed feelings about everything.

What was actually going on, was I being played with?
Was she testing me to see if I would voice my fears or was someone really watching me?

All questions I needed answers for, but I was too caught up inside of my head to ask them. I just went with what I imagined.
