I didn't share my plans with anyone, not even my sister. As far as my parents knew, they were coming over to mines only to have dinner with me.
In regards to Raye, she thought it was only going to be us having an uninterrupted night together but she was in for a big surprise quite like my parents.
I just hoped that somehow they all got along and not cause a scene. I knew my parents weren't the type to cause any unnecessary drama, but I also had no idea how they were going to react seeing Raye for the first time; a year after I told them I broke up with her.
I went about threading nervously. I moved ahead and gave my parents the time frame they needed to be at my place and it was scheduled to be half an hour before Raye was supposed to come by.
I gave no hint to anyone.
Seven o'clock then swung by pretty quickly and before I knew it my parents were knocking on my door.
"Hey, guys." I greeted them eagerly, each with a hug. My dad engulfed me in a much tighter squeeze than my mother which left him and I giggling away like idiots.
"Sweetheart, how's work been going for you?" My father questioned while he and Mom made themselves comfortable.
"Good, can't really complain."
"We see. You look very happy did something happen?"
"No mom, not really." I lied.
I couldn't exactly tell my parents the real reason why I was glowing like that just yet. It was a mixture of two things.
I was nervous about tonight's dinner and also ecstatic that Raye and I were once again in contact with the other.I was waiting for the right moment to share everything with them and they might be a little disappointed in the end but at least I would've told them.
My parents helped to finish dinner despite my many shushing and shooing at them from inside the kitchen and as I blinked at 7:30 directly on the dot I heard a knock at the door.
I followed the sound and I was sure that my eyes were probably bulging out of my head along with my heart racing away inside of my tiny chest like a racehorse.
Each palm got sweatier, and with a nervous look, I glanced towards my parents who were staring at me questionably at the little dining table.
"You have a visitor?" My dad asked and I grinned showing all sixty-four of my teeth because at that moment I felt like it was that many. I quietly excused myself, ignoring his question to go get the door.
During the walk over to it, I shook my hands frantically because they felt lifeless and cold beside me, weighing me down a bit.
As I reached the thing that separated all my plans from unfolding in less than a minute, I trembled but pushed passed my nervousness and unlocked the door.
Standing on the outer side with the most perfect smile I'd ever seen, was Raye. Her hands were tucked in her pockets, poised as always.
She wore very casual clothing consisting of a navy blue sweater and dark jeans however, still managing to look like a goddess.
Her chestnut brown hair was wrapped in a messy bun and oh my goodness, I felt like kissing her until the sun came up the next morning but I couldn't do that with my parents around.
It turned out however that Raye had read my mind because she stepped further and slipped her tongue into my mouth unexpectedly, pulling me into a very deep and passionate kiss. I moaned quietly, kissing her back just as hot and feverish before pulling away and licking my lips. Breathing slightly different.
