*Alex P.O.V*

Why does she keep doing this to me? I know that we are like magnetised to each other but I feel somehow different. The way she looked when she saw Lucas made me mad. I don't know why I should be jealous. He just came back from the DEAD. Hailey has every right to spend more time with him.

I just wished she knew what she did to me.

*Hailey's P.O.V *

I felt kind of bad for Alex since I was spending way to much time with Lucas. So I decided to have a day out with Alex and we were going to the mall. I don't care. I haven't been shopping in California and I was looking forward to it. And I'm running out of clothes to wear too.

I did my hair to a quick but simple, neat halo braid and wore my favourite yellow summer dress and flats. Alex was already waiting downstairs in a blue button up shirt and khakis. How does he look so darn good-looking in everything he wears? Opps. Snap out of it Hailey. "Like what you see?" Alex asked me when I finally realised that I was staring at him. I blushed and let my hair hang around my face in case he saw.

"It's so easy to make you blush, Hails," he said.

I scowled at him and got into his newly bought or should I say, rented car.

As we approached the mall I immediately pulled Alex into Forever 21. Which wasn't really great since Alex kept whining "Ughhhh. Why do we always come here?" "Why do they call it Forever 21 when it's impossible to be 21 forever?" "What's a peplum dress?" I just rolled my eyes as Alex kept asking me questions like a kid who was brought to a movie and doesn't understand a thing.

"One more word I swear I will make you wear a peplum dress and dance like a ballerina," I threatened. He looked shocked but kept his mouth shut as told.

As I was scanning through the dresses, I noticed a particular redhead girl looking over to where Alex and I was. She seemed oddly familiar.

That's when it hit me. My eyes widened as I pulled Alex out of the store.

"Hey. I thought pulling us out of stores was my job!" he said pouting.

If I wasn't panicking right now I would notice how cute he is. "I saw a member of the High Council. She was looking at us," I said quickly not looking at him as I trudged back to the car.
