🐺Lincoln POV🐺

"Devin?"

"Hello.....Lincoln"

There he is standing right in front of me. Basically nothing's changed. Even with Beta training. But how did he find me? I left no traces of myself back in Washington.

"You haven't changed one bit huh." He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. Even though we were together when we were younger, I didn't have it in my heart to take him completely out of my life when we broke up. We're still friends but now I see him as my brother.

"Nope." Mary-Ann stood in front of me and smirked at Devin. She always was comfortable with Devin and I never figured out how.

"Cut the bullshit Devin. How did you find us?"

"Mary!" I was about to lecture her but Devin laughed.

"With the smell of your cheap alcohol. Good to see you again Mary. Though it would be good to sit and relax now is not the time."

"What do you mean?" By now everyone went back to the party.

"Lincoln. There trying to find out where you are. They sent me here. Your crappy sister told me to come here and bring you back but I would never betray my brother."

"Why would they want me now when all they've done was reduced me to nothing?" We went back to the kitchen and Mary pored us all a cup.

"The pack is growing suspicious. They know you and Lin shifted but your dad hasn't stepped down and given the Alpha position yet to anyone. The rumour mill doesn't help because now they're getting aware that Lin is not the true heir. You are." He drank.

"I refuse to protect those who harmed me. Plus dad got it. He still have his white wolf" I got off the counter and searched the fridge.

"That's the problem. Lincoln...your dad is losing power. His wolf is turning brown."

"But that only happens if his Beta is dying. Neil's not safe."

"No he's not..."

"Wait what?"

"The Beta's and Alpha's power are linked. Their tied. You know that. My dad is dying because he's been locked inside the cells. Heck I was there to before they took me out to go find you. They thought that we aided in your escape. So we're on trail." He looked down and that's when I saw the bruise on his neck. He absently touched it and winced. It must've been still fresh if he winced.

"So what about Nancy?" He only mentioned his dad not his mom. He looked at me with tear filled eyes.

"No...she's not... tell me she's not...Devin please she can't be...please...no...."

He nodded his head.

That can't be true. The only people I care about are getting hurt and it's all my fault. My eyes burned and my throat ached.

"How?" A tear rolled down his cheek. He was always the momma's boy and I teased him for it when we were kids but I always saw Nancy as my mother and Neil as my father.

"She was whipped naked to death by a silver and wolf-bane tip. She was whipped in front of the whole pack while they tied me and my dad down in front of her to watch. I couldn't do anything but watch and hear her cries for help for my dad."

I got up and hugged him as he broke down in my arms. I heard Mary curse and grab the two bottles of alcohol she's already finished. She went inside the living room and ushered for us to follow. Once inside, she stood on the coffee table and smashed the two bottles together. Everyone turned towards her.

"OK BITCHES LISTEN UP! One of our own is now dead! What do we do to those who kills a member of our coven!?" She shouted.

"WE KILL THEM!"

"That's right. Nancy Cartwright was injusticly murdered. It's one thing to mess with one of us but it's another to mess with one of the high council. The king and queen come forward. I think it's time for your title to be on you now."

I nodded and Alex stepped forward. We linked hands. Anna came forward and two other court members. They all held hands and formed a circle.

"Moon goddess hear us. We are your children. Gift your chosen as intended and build the bond that can't be broken." They repeated this and a bright light started to emit from underneath my feet. I looked at Alex and her eyes were glowing white.

My skin burned and my arm was covering itself in ancient writings. The same for Alex. The world was now fading but instead of darkness their was light.

A tall woman stood in front of us. Her hair long to her feet and her eyes silver almost white. She looked like a ghost with her pale features and flowing dress.

"Welcome Lincoln. Future king and loyal follower."

"Hi..."

I made a schedule for all my books. Only one day will I post for all of my books. So that's like 2 posts each week individually. The times of uploading is still undecided with school on. Also I'm restarting a very old book I wrote on Wattpad actually it was my first and got a lot of attention. The schedule will change.
