Chapter 14

SATURDAY

You chose a simple sundress with polka dots for your date that went up to your knees and wore a thin skin coloured sweater on top. You let your hair fall down that went up to your back and wore light makeup not wanting to show too much effort that would get kai excited or a reason for him to tease you. You slipped your feet in the pair of flats and waited for him to show up. He told you that he'd pick you up at 6. He wanted to stroll down the city with you and wanted to try different things. It sounded interesting the way he put it so you were totally in for it. You don't remember the last time you travelled and took this date as an opportunity; more than the date itself you were excited to go and visit new places.

(A/n: you can see in the picture above just to get a clear image of what kind of dress she's wearing. But her dress goes upto her knees, the above one is just too high 😅)

You heard the bell ring and went down to get it. Your parents were out of town to visit your grandmother which means you were all by yourself for the weekend.

"hey" you smiled at kai who was standing there in awe looking at you

"wow.....you look......wow" that's all he could say while looking back up at you. You could feel your cheeks burning, you didn't expect such easy words from kai could get you but he was good at it.

"well I just wanted to dress somewhat casual for it" you smiled looking down at yourself and then back up at him

"I-wh-well it actually looks like you put some effort on yourself and you look amazing" his charming smile always brought you to the edge.

"thank you" you said putting a strand of hair behind your ear

"then...shall we?" he gestured you to his car and you nodded before getting out of your house and locking the doors placing the house keys in your purse.

You went to an amusement park first and throughout the rides kai was very thoughtful and genuine making sure to only go to the rides which you wanted to he wanted to go on the roller coaster with you really bad but you plainly refused saying that it makes you sick and you're lowkey scared of it. He didn't pressure you at all even though you thought he would. Or at least make fun of you but he did neither. You didn't expect but he was very comfortable and a fun person to hang out with.

You bought some smoothie while strolling down the roads of the city, you guys ended up going to the arcade after enjoying and beating kai thrice in bowling even though he made up excuses that he let you win; you didn't believe and just laughed it off. You guys went to dinner and kai asked if you've ever went to those open cinemas. You were cringing and kai kept on questioning what was there to cringe about when he found it "romantic".

And just as kai said; it really was. You were parked in front of the big screen sitting underneath the open sky and the stars shining up on you. You kept on laughing at kai's stupid jokes even though they weren't funny but you both were on the stage where you laugh to the extent when you find everything funny; even a random comment.

"thank you....for today I didn't know but I really needed this" you said smiling at him

Kai chuckled looking down at his hands then meeting his eyes with yours "I didn't do this for you, I did it for me...so thank you"

"yeah well, you're a great company. And I agree this is.....a bit romantic" you said scrunching your nose

"why do you sound like you're saying this forcefully or out of disgust if you like it just man up and say it" he tried his best sounding serious but you knew he was covering it up so he doesn't lose a laugh
