Chapter 13

"it's just a date and I promise I wouldn't bother you if you don't have fun. But this time I just wouldn't take no for an answer, so I'll pick you up on Saturday. I'll tell you the rest of the details later ok?"

"Huh? Oh okay" you muttered out still in a trance.

You snapped out when your phone buzzed once again. He waved you goodbye and walked down to his car giving you one last glance and smiling at you waiting for you to go in. You waved at him and turned around to go inside. Once you were inside you peeped through your curtains until he started his engine and drove off.

You sighed turning your back towards the wall and leaning against it. You scratched your hair out of frustration and made your way to your room.

"why were you ignoring my calls and texts? Do you know how many times I called you? You should consider yourself lucky that I care so much if it were someone else, I wouldn't give a shit!" you heard Luna shifting on the other line of the call and she sounded mad.

"I'm sorry I was out with some friends from work" you apologized

"either way you could've just told me except for ignoring my calls.... anyways I wanted to tell you something that's why I kept calling..."

"right.... what is it?" you didn't like the silence that was on the other side it made you feel something went wrong

"I applied for colleges abroad through scholarship programs and I got accepted in Malaysia..." she said monotoned because she knew if she sounded excited you would feel bad about yourself. Luna and you remained friends on the terms of studying. In spite of all the rumors going around about you in your high school, she was one of those students who cared the least about drama and more about studies. Hence you came out clean and she wasn't bothered about helping you out fill the forms. You never got the call and here you were hearing from her that she got accepted and you still were on the same place. It did break your heart a bit as you worked as hard as she did but of course she was much smarter than you. You tried your best not to hint about your hurt tone.

"oh.... that's great your father works in Malaysia, right? It'd be easier for you to..." you got cut off by her mid sentenced

"yeah that's why I'm moving there, I called you to tell you that I'm leaving this Saturday. My family is moving out with me...."

"congratulations..." you finally said out when the other line went silent.

"I'm sorry (y/n)...I know you worked hard and-"

"it's ok it doesn't matter really, it's not your fault so don't apologize...I should've worked harder"

There was awkwardness on both side and you weren't sure what to say next but maybe Luna figured it out and cleared out the tension

"so, will you come to see me off?"

"hm?" You snapped out from your dazed form from Luna's sudden question

"oh, I don't know I have a date" you said quietly but Luna heard you loud and clear

"what?!....is it Jimin?" Luna's voice was now filled with surprise

"no..." you said simply. Jimin's name simply dragged you out of your misery and now you had different thoughts in your mind

"then who? Does Jimin know about him?"

"he's just-Luna can I ask you something?" you just cut off your own sentence by your question that was lingering in your mind.

"sure go ahead" you heard luna respond

"do you think jimin might have a girlfriend?"

"there might be a chance but seeing that he's an idol and they have a strong policy on no-dating, the chances might be cut down to fifty-fifty"
