*Simon's POV*

"Are you almost ready, Love? Our reservation is in twenty minutes!" Baz yells through our flat.

I answer with an "almost!" and finish buttoning by shirt, checking in the mirror to make sure I look decent.

It's been two months, one week, and five days since our last date night. Baz is busy with uni all day, and I work night shifts at the coffee house. But Baz has no classes today, and my boss gave everyone the day off due to a power outage. So, naturally, we are taking the chance to have a date day. No distractions or worries.

"Well don't you clean up nice, Simon?" I hear my love say from our bedroom doorway. Turning away from the mirror, I see Baz leaning against the doorframe, smirk on his pink lips and silver eyes filled with love and admiration. Although we plan on having a semi-casual day, Baz still decided to wear his best suit, claiming that today wasn't a day to waste on casual clothes. I, on the other hand, chose to be the in between: a button up shirt and a nice pair of trousers.

"Thank you, Darling. Don't look too bad yourself." I say as I walk to him, pecking him in the cheek. He grabs my hand and leads the way to the front door.

I know he is anxious to go, I am too. He has been studying for finals none stop, and I've been doing double shifts at the cafe to make up for Baz not working. Not that I blame him, he needs to stay focused on his studies, but that doesn't mean I don't pass out as soon as I enter the flat after a 12+ hour work day. My point is, we are both exhausted. Today, we are forgetting about our responsibilities and just enjoying each other. I even told Penny not to bother us with text messages or calls. This day is about us and us only.

*Time Skip*

"What's next on our to-do list?" I ask Baz as we walk hand in hand on the nearly deserted sidewalk. His only response is a smile.

Since we had 24 hours to ourselves, we decided to split the day into different activities. Baz got first choice, I got second, and so on. So far, it's 17:30 and we have been all over London it seems. We've gone to the park, a winery, and went ice skating, which involved a lot of falling on my part (though it was still amazing, especially watching Baz skate across the ice like he was born to do just that).
Now, though, it's time for dinner and Baz got to choose where we went, keeping it a secret from me.

"You'll find out soon enough, Love. We are almost there." My love says as we round a corner. I only huff, but smile slightly when I look down and see our intertwined hands. It still amazes me sometimes how much I love this man, and how much he loves me.

"Hello? Earth to Simon Snow?" Baz breaks me from my thoughts with a chuckle. Snapping up, I see we have stopped in front of a restaurant, but not just any restaurant, the one we went to on our first date all those months ago.

"Darling! H-How?! I mean, th-this place is fancy! I would've dressed up a little more if I'd known! No wonder you insisted on wearing a suit!" I exclaim, suddenly wishing I hadn't decided to be so casual. In my defense, we were going ice skating! Who wears a suit to that?! (Other than my amazingly talented boyfriend...)

"You are fine, Love. I just wanted to bring you back here because I remembered how much you liked It the first time. Now, let's head inside, I'm starving."

Pulling me along behind him, we check in with our reservation and are seated in a open, somewhat-empty area. Though right now we could've been seated next to the dumpster and I would still feel amazing. Anything I do with my love makes me feel as though fireworks are exploding inside me, in the best way possible.
