Chapter thirty one

Tris pov

I sit up in bed squeeze my stomach. Tobias sits up too, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me close.

"Tris I'm taking you to the hospital, you need to see a doctor. Your stomach has been bothering you ever since we got here. Something could be wrong with the baby" Tobias tells me and I shake my head no

"Hon. I was at the doctors before we left. They said I'm all good" I tell him

"Sweetheart. Tris, please. I don't want anything to happen to you or the baby" He says

"We're in London. A different country. I can't just go to their hospital, I'm sure the insurance won't cover that" I say

"It's not about the insurance or the money. Tris, we're going and that's the end of this discussion" he says sternly and I glare at him as he changes his pants and puts on his shoes.

"I'm not going Tobias." I say as he picks up my shoes and takes a hold of my feet to put them on

"I will carry you to the car" he says crossing his arms and giving me a serious look.

"Now let's go" He adds

I sigh and march out of our hotel room with him following.

"Just a few more test the doctor has requested but after that we will have you out of here as fast as we can" a nurse says as I sit on a hospital bed and she turns on a ultra sound machine.

"Wow the Doctor sure likes to run test on her. She's already given blood and submitted a urine sample" Tobias says to the nurse

"Shouldn't be much longer. We will have mummy and baby out of here soon." The nurse says

I turn to Tobias and grab his hand.

"It's okay" I whisper to him and he kisses my head

"Lift up your shirt for me, mum" the nurse asks gently

I lift up my shirt revealing a very small bump.

"How far along are you" she ask

"About 4 months" I say

"You're very tiny for 4 months" she tells me as she waves the ultra sound wand around my belly with the cold jelly.

"I didn't know I was pregnant until a few days ago. I wasn't really taking the best care of myself like a pregnant woman should" I say

"Oh I see, this was a late announcement" she says and I giggle

"It was indeed" I say

"Now you've been pregnant before, that's correct" she asks me

"I have twice actually. The first time I was pregnant with twins, then the last pregnancy I had was just one baby but I already told you the story behind that" I say 

"Yes. I am sorry once again for your losses" she says and I give her a smile

"Thank you. That means a lot" I tell her

There's a knock at the door and the doctor comes in.

"Mum, dad, how are we feeling" the doctor asks, taking a look at the ultra sound

"A little worried. We do not want anything to happen to our baby" Tobias answers

"I have been caught up on your history and it sure is a tragedy but I can assure you. We will try everything we can to see what's going on before we go back and send you to the states" the doctor tells us and we nod

"Let me have a look" the doctor says grabbing the ultra sound wand and moving it around my belly.

The nurse helps him by adding more jelly to my belly because the first glob got dry.

He stops the wand and study's the screen.

"Nurse can you call someone from the pedestrians department to come look at this"!he tells the nurse and I sit up and start to freak out.

"Is something wrong" I say worriedly and the doctor tries to calm me down.

"Mrs. Eaton, I have an idea of what seems to be the problem but I don't want to worry anyone until I can get a second look on this" He tells me and I start to cry

"There's something wrong with our baby" I cry and Tobias pulls me close to his chest and rubs my back.

"It's okay honey" Tobias whispers and kisses my head.

I lean closer to him and he holds me tight. This honeymoon has been officially ruined.

Oh no... sad stuff happening soon, I know I'm the worst
