Chapter sixteen

Tris pov
6 months later

I have been tossing and turning all night. Tobias loops his arm around my waist and pulls me close.

"Tris, are you okay? You have been tossing and turning all night" he says and I turn to face him.

"I can't sleep" I say

"Wow the one night Ella and Emma are fully asleep. Mommy over here cannot sleep" Tobias says and I giggle ending with a sigh.

Yes we did end up changing the name lily we had planned to Ella once we saw how nice it would look.

"I don't know why I can't sleep. I just feel so wide awake" I say

"That gives us plenty of time to-" Tobias starts to say but before he can finish his sentence he's already kissing me.

Before anything got too heated. I pull away and hold a gentle hand to his face.

"You should sleep. You have work" I tell him and he groans

"I should. Or I'm going to be really tired on my drive to work" he says and I giggle giving him one last kiss before we lay down again to sleep.

"Don't forget that the girls have a doctors appointment tomorrow. It would really help if you be there" I say and he nods kissing my head.

"I will be there" he says

Tobias pov

"Wow detective. Your fiancé is just a keeper and these babies. What beauties are these cuties" my boss Jim says to me. He's our chief so it's nice to hear those words come from him.

Tris came to pick me up from work so we could go to the girl's doctors appointment.

"Thanks chief" I tell him and he nods with a smile then going on his way.

Emma starts to whine so tris picks her up from the stroller and carries her.

"We should get going. The girls are so tired. Next time I need to make an earlier appointment" Tris says

"Okay let me just pack up my things then we can go" I say and tris goes to take a seat on the couch in my office.

"Detective Eaton, what a surprise to see your beautiful babies here at work" Stacy, one of the officers says walking into my office.

"Today the girls have their first appointment at the doctors so this should be an experience" I tell her

Stacy takes Ella out of the stroller and Ella begins to scream and cry.

Tris gets up from the couch and walks over to comfort Ella.

"Try holding her like this. That normally does the trick" tris says trying to help Stacy.

"I'm a officer. I handle much harder things then babies" Stacy tells tris and I look over at Tris who looks like she's going to blow up.

"I was just trying to help. Now thanks for the quick stop but we have to go" tris says putting Emma down in the stroller to take Ella from Stacy.

"What a wonderful family" Stacy says

"See you later, Eaton" she adds putting a hand on my chest then walking out.

I look over at tris who is strapping Ella into the stroller with a disgusted look on her face.

"I don't like her" tris says

"And she clearly has a crush on you" tris adds

I grab her hand and hold her waist.

"Really hun. She's just a co worker. That's just how she is. Even if she does. I only have eyes for you" I say pecking tris's lips then holding her hand as we stroll out the police station to our car.
