Chapter fifteen

Tris pov

"I think I want to stand" I say to Tobias as he helps me sit up in the hospital bed.

The twins are coming!

My water broke a few hours ago but the doctor says I'm no where near ready to push.

The contractions have been very painful and I've squeezed Tobias hand numb. He's being so patient with me and I'm being such a handful. Well what does he expect when I'm about to push out two watermelons.

I hold my belly and slowly walk with Tobias out of the room. My parents and his parents stay behind just chit chatting. He keeps a strong arm around my waist as we shuffle out of the room. He's basically moving me as we walk.

I lay my head back onto his shoulder and he chuckles looking down at me.

"You look so beautiful. I just thought I might tell you that" he says and I give him a small smile as every part of my body hurts me right now.

"You're doing great honey" he tells me and he give him a small laugh.

"Everything hurts" I whisper as I stop walking to grab a hold of his hand and onto the railing attached to the wall. I'm having another contraction.

"ow. Ow. OW" I wince

Tobias rubs my back and pulls strands of hair out of my face.

"Do you want to go back to bed" He ask me and I shake my head no.

I slowly start to walk again and we pass another couple around our age doing the same thing.

The girl has such a smaller belly than me but looks like she's in just as much pain as me.

"Congratulations" I say to them and the girl gives me a smile

"Thanks. You too." She says

"This has been the worst pain of my life" she adds and I laugh

"Tell me about it" I say

"I think she broke my hand" the guy says and Tobias laughs

"I think she broke both of mine" Tobias adds and the guys laugh.

I just look at Tobias and sigh

"Try going through this pain" I say

"Okay. I'm sorry honey. I know I have to be more considerate of what you're going through" Tobias says hugging me and I lay my head on him as another contraction hits.

He rubs my back and says goodbye to the other couple.

"I should get her back to her room. But congrats guys" Tobias tells them

"You too man. Before you go, what are you having" he ask Tobias

"Twins. Two girls. What about you" Tobias says

"A boy" the girl says rubbing her belly.

"Well good luck with everything" I say looking back at them

"You too" the guy says and we head back to our rooms.

"Baby you're doing great. I'm so proud of you" Tobias says kissing my head as we get back to our room.

"Tobias please" I sigh

"I don't care how great I'm doing. I just want these babies out" I groan and he just sighs helping me in bed.

"Tris stop being so hard on Tobias" My dad says

"If I have to kick everyone out I will" I say and my mom comes to my side, holding my hand.
