CHAPTER FIVE
———————————
Lunch was held outside underneath the gazebo and at the long wooden table they have outside. I sit in between Athena and Mitchell while Mitchell's parents and grandma sit opposite us. On the table itself are bowls and plates that contain different kinds of foods like salads, crackers, small sandwiches cut into triangles and much more. Surprisingly enough, this wasn't so bad expect of course acting as Mitchell's girlfriend.
"So, how did you guys get together?." Mitchell's grandma, Julia asks. Oh goodness, Mitchell and I didn't plan on our romantic story before hand, so I look to him with fear in my eyes, hoping he'll catch on, but he just shrugs. Why did I think he'd help? Two can play this game.
"Well, to be honest Julia, he kept asking me-." I begin to say in a dramatic tone "and asking me and every time I just ignored him hoping he'd leave me alone, but than he threatened me that he'd kill me if I said no-." I stop when Mitchell wraps his arm around the back of my chair and pinches my shoulder hard which causes me to flinch, it goes unnoticeable by his family. His parents and Julia look concern as I hear Athena trying to hold in her laughter.
"Oh babe, I forgot to tell them how much of a comedian you are." Mitchell says through his teeth, the smile on his face clearly fake "we actually become official when I kissed her in the rain. She just looked so beautiful standing there with a smile on her face and raindrops rolling down her cheeks that I just knew right than and there that I needed her to be mine, so I asked her, she said yes and here we are." Mitchell says, selling it since Julia's eyes begun to feel with admiration and she released a small 'aw'.
Wow, that was so convincing that even I believed it. Who knew that Mitchell could be romantic...or he just got it off of a movie. There's no way Mitchell just thought of that off of the top of his head. Throughout the remainder of the lunch, Mitchell and I were asked about our fake relationship while we continued to eat lunch and unfortunately, my time with Mitchell and his family come to an end. I'm sad that it ended, I genuinely like Mitchell's family; it's just Mitchell I hate.
"Would you like help cleaning up Mrs Preston?." I ask Mitchell's mum who begins to clear up the empty bowls and plates on the table with the help of Mr Preston. Mrs Preston looks up at me with a small smile on her face.
"No that's alright dear, you and Mitchell can go inside and watch a movie something, but thank you so much for the offer." She tells me.
Mitchell comes up from behind me and wraps an arm around my waist, the urge to push it away and vomit is strong "we'll be in my room if you need anything." He tells his mother.
"Alright, have fun." Mrs Preston says and with that, Mitchell grabs my arm and leads me inside the house and up stairs to where? I'd assume his room. My eyes narrow in pain from how tightly he's holding my arm, but I don't say anything as he shoves me in his room and enters inside himself before closing the door behind him.
He turns to me "what is wrong with you?." He whispers, his voice holding anger. I know what he's talking about, but that's what he gets for blackmailing me into this. He could have picked any girl in our school who'd be glad to be his fake-girlfriend, instead he picks me, the person who hates him with a burning passion, and I deserved to at least get some kind of revenge and the lunch was a chance in disguise, so I took it.
I shrug "I don't know what you're talking about." I tell him, acting innocently.
His face becomes red "oh you know what I'm talking about and you seem to forget that I know your secret and I won't hesitate to tell it to the entire school if I have to." He threatens and my hands turns to fists, them turning white from how tight I'm holding them. Once again, I'm not surprised that he's blackmailing me again. My eye twitches, I hope this month goes by quickly for his sake, so I won't kill him.
"I. Hate. You." I say through my teeth.
He smirks a smirk that I want to slap off his face "the feeling is mutual princess."
I hate him, I hate him oh so much.
