It's a nice June morning.
Everyone was sitting in Cory Matthew's History classroom waiting for the school bell to ring.
Of course everyone was dead quiet and because of that Cory looked over every now and then.
He smiles and then he goes back to his work.
Maya Hart is sitting at the front with a pencil and notepad.
The fifteen year old girl has never actually showed much interest in anything around her.
For awhile she got lost in thought.
She goes back to long ago.
Twelve years in the past.
She sees a girl of three running around in a two bedroom apartment.
As happy as she can be.
Her face had a smile and a man in his early twenties.
A man who she was very comfortable with.
But could never be that again.
"Maya," Cory said and Maya snapped out of the dream.
"Yes Mr Matthews?" Maya asked.
"You were chosen to go with Riley and Lucas on a holiday trip to Los Angeles. You will be flying down from Manhattan to LAX on Friday in three days. Make sure to be packed," Cory said.
"Whats the catch?" Maya asked.
"Nothing," Cory said as he folded his arms and Maya put her pencil down.
"Who am I? Definitely not one of your Freshmen students who just started in September. I know you too well," Maya said.
"Mybrotherscomingalong," Cory said as fast as he could so Maya wouldn't hear.
"Does your dad think I'm an idiot?" Maya asked as she moved her head to Riley.
"What do you mean?" Lucas asked.
"Joshua Matthews is coming with. That's the only way why he is talking at lightning speed. And I understood," Maya said.
"Darnit," Cory said and Maya smiled.
She smiles before she goes back to writing.
She knows that she doesn't actually acts really good towards Josh and she also knows that she has changed.
But what is going to happen?
Maya suddenly realizes something.
"Wait why do I have to go with? Riley has Lucas and Josh."
"Well firstly. I don't trust him," Cory said glaring at Lucas and putting emphasis on the word him.
"Secondly. Josh is gonna need some company. And third..."
"How many are there?" Maya interrupts Cory.
"This is the last one. You are going to be alone if Riley goes."
"What about us? Maya has me and Farkle," Zay said.
"Be quiet flat butt," Lucas said.
"Thanks. It's already sorted. Three days. Make sure to be at my place at five the morning. You guys are flying out at ten so you must check in at eight and the drive to Manhattan is probably an hour and a half. Understood?" Cory said and everyone nod then the school bell rang.
Maya looked at her History teacher knowing he has a plan with everything.
