It was a few hours later and Maya was back in her room.
Riley was still asleep busy waking up.
Maya is sitting on her bed trying to figure out what is going on.
Riley wakes up and immediately turns over to a photo on her bedside.
Tears start to come up and she struggles to hold them back.
Maya stands up and sits down next to Riley on her bed.
Of course Maya is going to try everything possible to help her best friend but at what cost?
"It's okay Riles. You haven't lost him," Maya said.
"I think I have," Riley said as she sat up.
"He is just a bit angry but he'll cool down. He always has and always will. He loves you Riley. He won't just leave you," Maya said and Riley took a picture out from under her pillow.
She smiled as she gave it to Maya.
Maya looked at it clearly seeing that it is a sonar of baby twins.
Maya's eyes widened as she tried to process what she is seeing
"Aren't they beautiful? My own little Lucas," Riley said.
"They are. How far are you?" Maya asked as she gave the photo back to Riley.
Of course she knew what she had just seen but was going to act as normal as possible.
Of course willing to find out what is going on with her bets friend.
"Twelve weeks. Miracle I haven't shown yet. I think they're boys. Or what do you think?" Riley asked.
"Maybe one of each. Why don't you get some more rest? I'll see to that everyone leaves you alone and then you and Lucas can talk later. Does..."
"He knows. I'm gonna sleep some more. I'm tired," Riley said and laid down.
What on earth just happened?
Her best friend is pregnant with twins.
Does Cory know?
Good hell does Topanga know?
What is she supposed to tell Josh?
Maya walked outside just to find Lucas at the exact same spot she did.
She took a breathe and knew what she had to do.
"I know," Maya said as she walked to Lucas.
"About?" Lucas asked.
"The twins. Riley just told me. Lucas how can you handle her like this while you know she is expecting your children?" Maya asked.
"I don't know what to do!" Lucas said as he buried his head in his hands.
"Hey. You fight for her. She loves you, not Charlie. Charlie was once ago. She is carrying your children. She loves you. Why don't you go tell her that?" Maya said and Lucas gave her a hug.
"Thank you."
"What are friends for?" Maya said and Lucas went to Riley.
