Chapter 42 - Telling His Parents

It was about half past nine and Maya was on the road with her mother.
Katy agreed to take Maya to go see Josh and she knows her daughter isn't going to go down without a fight.

"Why are you going here?" Katy asked.
"We want to tell them about us," Maya said.
"What are you guys?"
"We made it official last week. We are officially boyfriend and girlfriend," Maya said.
"I'm glad," Katy said as she stopped in front of a huge house.
"This it?" Katy asked as Maya grabbed her overnight bag.
"Yeah. Listen can you come fetch me on Friday?" Maya asked.
"Yeah sure. Have fun Baby Girl," Katy said and Maya climbed out.

Katy drove away and Maya waved her goodbye.
She took a deep breath before knocking on the door instantly being answered.
"Maya welcome," Amy said as she gave Maya a hug.
"Hi Mrs Matthews. How are you?" Maya asked.
"I'm good. Come in," Amy said.
"Thank you. Is Josh here or is he with friends?" Maya asked.
"No he and his father is here. Living room," Amy said.

They entered the living room and Alan immediately saw Maya confused about what she is doing there.

"Maya? I had no idea you were coming. Welcome," Alan said as he gave Maha a hug and her eyes met Josh's.

She smiled as he nod.
Maya pulled away from Alan and they could see something is wrong.

"What's going on? Why did you want to see us?" Amy said and Josh stood up.
"Actually she's here to see me," Josh said as he threw his arm around her shoulder.
"You guys are together?" Alan asked.
"Yeah. Yeah we are," Maya said.
"But that's the most amazing new we have received in awhile. Congratulations guys," Amy said.
"Thank you. I actually come with more news about Riley's pregnancy," Maya said and Josh looked at her.
"She is expecting boys. I went with her to the sonar last week," Maya said.
"That's amazing. Great-grandsons? So weird," Amy said.

"Have you guys made peace?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. Neither of us wanted to stay angry," Maya said.
"Was there trouble?" Amy asked.
"A few complications about our relationship but she just needed time to process it all. Your son sent his regards," Maya said.
"How are they doing? I haven't talked to them in awhile," Amy said.
"They are all doing great. To say the truth they are doing just fine. Riley is really excited about the boys and Auggie is going on after the break-in," Maya said.
"We heard about that. You, young lady, were very brave," Alan said.
"I'll do anything to protect the people that I love," Maya said.
"We are eternally grateful for what you did for both Topanga and Auggie," Amy said.
