Too young.
Three years younger.
Too old for you.
For as long as she can remember she has heard those three sentences.
But what does happen when Maya and Josh have a connection?
It was later the afternoon and Maya was waking up from her nap. She sigh as she knows she acted like a total idiot with Josh. She'll have to tell him what is going on but she doesn't know how. She was still a bit asleep but awake enough to see Riley.
"You okay?" Riley asked. "Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit tired. What are our plans for the afternoon?" Maya asked. "Ask Josh. He's in charge," Riley said. "What's wrong? You seem different," Maya said. "Josh said you froze when the men with weapons came out. You weren't reacting to anything. Are you okay?" Riley asked. "Yeah I'm fine. But what I do need is something to do. I'm gonna ask Josh what is his plans," Maya said.
She jumped out of bed and instantly went to the living room where she found both Josh and Lucas.
"Look who's finally awake," Lucas said and Josh turned his head. "Hey. How you feeling?" Josh asked. "Good. What are our plans for the afternoon?" Maya asked. "Go put on your suits then we can go down to the beach," Josh said and Maya went back to her room. "Think she's now okay," Josh said smiling.
"Hey Josh said we're going down to the beach," Maya said. "Finally. I'm so bored with myself. Listen how long is a your nap?" "I was tired okay. But now I have enough energy to last a lifetime. Let's get going," Maya said.
Both the girls quickly put on their swimming clothes each with a dress and some sandals on.

They went to the boys and then they went down to the beach. For the first time today Maya actually did relax and Josh saw that she was a bit more okay. Earlier she was a mess and now she is acting like her old self. Every now and then she did pull up her crush on Josh and for the first time since he saw her she was acting like the girl he met a few years back. Happy, smiling, a bit naïve and maybe even someone he could like. But eventually he let go of the idea.
