It was later that night and Maya was sitting outside.
It was kinda late but not for her.
And certainly not for Joshua Matthews.

"And if you're sitting in the dark alone?" Josh asked and sat down next to Maya.
"It was my favorite time passing. Looking at the stars with my mom. We did it a lot after my dad had left," Maya said and she suddenly clammed shut.

She was getting way too attached to Josh and she knew it.
But how can she not?
He has been paying a lot of attention to Maya with Riley and Lucas being occupied with each other.
But she didn't want to get used to Josh.
Mays sigh as she leaned forward closing her eyes and Josh knew something was wrong.

"You're clamming up," Josh said.
"I don't want to get used to you Josh. Because after these eight weeks are over I'm going back to New York and you're going back to Philadelphia then everything is going to be like it was," Maya said.
"You forgot I'm going to NYU," Josh said.
"What does it matter? Point is things are going back to where it was when we go back and... I don't think I can handle setbacks like that," Maya said and Josh sigh.
"Listen it's not like you're never going to see me again. We're gonna see a lot more of each other. I'm not going to leave like your dad Maya," Josh said.
"I don't know that Josh. I don't know if you are going to stick around and I don't want to..."
"It's okay, you can trust me," Josh said and Maya took a breathe.
"I don't think I can," Maya said and Josh looked at Maya.
"Why? Why can't you? Something must trigger it," Josh said.
"Josh," Maya said and exhaled.
"I am not your father Maya. I'm not just going to leave and never come back. But if you think you can't trust me than it's fine," Josh said and Maya heard something.

She looked at the house and shortly after she, Josh did as well.
Riley and Lucas were fighting.
But not like before.
It was really intense and Maya actually got a fright.

"I think we should..."
"Yeah. Let's go," Josh said and the two of them went in the house not knowing what they were gonna find.
