Even though it was really early that didn't stop Maya from waiting up for her mom.
When Katy came out of her room she did get the surprise of her life.
"Maya? I thought..."
"Change of plans. Thanks to Riley. I actually have something to tell you," Maya said.
"What is it Maya?" Katy asked.
"I have started seeing Joshua Matthews. The boy I told you I fell in love with," Maya said.
"You mean the crush? Yeah I remember. But isn't he..."
"Three years older, yeah. But I don't want to think about that. I love him Mom. I always have and I always will. Knowing he feels the same is fantastic and I'm really happy we can finally be together," Maya said.
"Is it official?" Katy asked with a huge smile on her face.
"Not yet. We are just together. Seeing each other if you want to call it that. Thank you for handling it so well. I actually have to get going. We are meeting up at Topanga's. Me and the rest of the gang. I'll see you tonight," Maya said.
"Maya," Katy said and Maya turned around.
"I'm really happy for you Baby Girl," Katy said and Maya smiled before leaving.
