It was later the day and just about everyone had gone home from being around Maya's for a long time.
She leaned back in her bed as she takes a breathe.
She couldn't understand what happened the other day with the bus.
She was just supposed to go home and then landed in the accident.
But anything is possible.
"Looks like you need a distraction," Josh said as he sat down next to Maya.
"My mind is wandering around. Listen what is going on? Why are you acting so weird?"
"Maya we almost lost you," Josh said and Maya put her hand on Josh's cheek.
"I'm fine Josh. I'll always fight back with everything I got. It's not that bad. I'm fine," Maya said.
"You're not made from steal Maya. You know that as well as I do," Josh said.
"I love you so much," Maya said.
"I love you too. And no matter what I'll always be here for you," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"You're not my father. I know that. You won't just pack up your stuff and leave. You're not like that," Maya said giving Josh a smile.
"Don't know if your parents will agree. Maybe that's why Shawn was against this entire thing. Our relationship. Because he thought I was going to do the same thing your father did years ago," Josh said and Maya sigh.
"Yeah like you'll ever lift your hand for me. We're just fine. I can't be happier to have you in my life," Maya said and Josh gave her a soft kiss.
