WARNING: IT SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Just know I'm not a professional critic 😂

I just want to give my opinion on what I thought of this film.

So let's get into it, shall we?

Positives:

1. The adult actors were AMAZING! Bill Hader fit the most to me. He's a comedian, so that was absolutely a great choice for him to play Richie.

2. Pennywise was much scarier. In the first one, he was just unsettling, saying things like "Time to float" or "you'll float too". In this one, he dropped that and acted more like a bully. Seriously, he was both CREEPY and MEAN. Instead of just saying creepy random stuff, he tried to weaken the Losers by being a really creepy bully. Examples:

Pennywise to Richie: "I know your dirty little secret!"

Pennywise to Ben: "You'll die alone, fatboy!"

Pennywise to Bill (explaining why he chose to kill Georgie): "Why...? Because you weren't there!"

This is a plus because it makes Pennywise SO much scarier.

3. Cameos. The Stephen King cameo was both unexpected and amazing 😂

4. Jokes and references. They made a lot of jokes that only book readers would understand. For example, everyone picked on Bill because they didn't like the ending of his book. I found this funny, because a lot of people who read IT the book did not like the ending, which is probably why they changed the ending in this film. Pretty clever to add that little joke. They also added a reference that all horror fans should know. Bev was trapped in a bathroom stall full of blood, and a crazed Henry Bowers peeks in and says "Here's Johnny!"

5. The final battle was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I'm so glad they didn't go with what the book did, because that was really confusing. I loved that they changed it up a little. Plus the battle was EPIC even though an important character died in the fight...

Negatives:

1. The first part of the movie was a little bit slow... once the Losers reunite and start talking about the real problem, that is when things really start to kick off.

2. Strobe lights... there were a LOT at the end. Despite the final battle being totally epic, there were so many flashing lights 😂

I think that's it for flaws that actually bothered me, HOWEVER!

Here's the things that bothered a few people, but didn't bother me:

1. Run-time. Some people say that this movie was way too long (almost three hours), but I don't see an issue with that. It was a great movie, and even more fun to experience when it was longer! Besides, the highest grossing movie in the WHOLE WORLD is 20 minutes longer than IT Chapter 2.

2. Lack of Pennywise. First of all, I don't get this....??? I thought there was plenty of Pennywise in this movie! Yet some people complained that there was not enough Pennywise. I liked that there wasn't too much, but there also wasn't too little. It left room for the Losers to grow as characters, and during the times where Pennywise DID show up, those times were unexpected and much scarier.

3. CGI and voice editing. Yep, they used CGI on the young Losers faces during flashbacks, but only some minor touch ups to make them look younger. They also did some voice editing. Since six of the Losers are boys, the actor's voices got deeper over the years. The actors have grown up since the first film, so it probably seemed like they had to some edits. But this didn't bother me. I actually thought it worked great! It makes it seem like the flashbacks took place around the same time that the first film did, and I like that aspect.

So yes, I definitely recommend IT: Chapter Two, and it certainly WAS worth that two year wait.

I'll give it a 9/10

Oh! And to Marvel fans, the Snap was a horrifying event, right?

Someone made their own Endgame trailer and put IT soundtrack in the background to bring justice to the Snap's true terror, and it worked quite well!! I think you will like this TheStarWarsFangirl77
