So I'm involved in a LOT of fandoms (I wonder what gave THAT away 😂)
I tend to develop a lot of theories about my fandoms.
I'm aware that the account I'm posting this on is mainly for Marvel, and this book will contain Marvel theories too. However...
When I got back from IT: Chapter Two, TheStarWarsFangirl77 were talking about it for a bit. I don't think she's in the IT fandom, but ey, I explained some basics 😂
IT CHAPTER TWO SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Anyway, our convo went like this:

And then I realized... holy sh*t...
There actually IS an illusion scene in IT Chapter Two... so here's the first similarity.
The IT illusion scene was for each and every Loser, not just one person. It would not make sense if everything they saw was real. It HAS to be an illusion. And who was responsible for making the Losers see these things? None other than 🤡 Pennywise!
Let's compare the FFH illusion scene to the IT one, shall we?
FFH:
IT: BTW this one isn't the best quality for two reasons. 1. The movie is brand new, so no high quality clips have been released yet. 2. The person who uploaded this had to skip a few scenes for copyright reasons, so sorry if it doesn't make sense. I think you'll get the idea though. ALSO!! The illusion part is not this whole video. The illusion scene itself starts at 1:22 and ends at 3:41.
So basically both Mysterio and Pennywise are capable of making people see things that aren't there.
Second similarity!
Mysterio turned himself into Nick Fury when he asked Peter who else he told about his identity. Does that mean Mysterio can shapeshift? And obviously Pennywise can shapeshift. Do they both have that ability too?
Third similarity.
What Pennywise does to lure children is make them think that he's innocent and on their side. Y'all remember this scene from IT Chapter One?
(Gee what a glorious thumbnail, isn't Pennywise just sO photogenic? 🤣)
Anyway, Pennywise made Georgie think that he was on Georgie's side, and then BOOM! BETRAYAL.
Pennywise also does this with a little girl in Chapter Two.
He has a knack for convincing people that he is on their side. And so does Mysterio, clearly, since he got the EDITH glasses from Peter.
And lastly, both Pennywise and Mysterio are complete a**holes with fake names. Pennywise's real name, according to the book, is just 'It' or 'Bob Gray.' Mysterio's real name is quite obviously Quentin Beck.
I guess the differences are this:
1. Mysterio's intention is to be known as a hero even though he's cheating.
2. Pennywise's intention is to... not starve and die? Technically he feasts on flesh so he can survive, soooo...
