Page 250 RANT!! (The Maze Runner)

I realized I haven't published anything about TMR even though it's literally one of the tags on this book...

When I was in middle school I read all of the TMR books. I've also watched all of the movies. But that was a really long time ago...

I still count myself a member of the fandom because I still love TMR and I remember a lot about it. So...

Let's rant about that one damn page that tore my heart to pieces, shall we...?

WHAT AN EVIL NUMBER.

So, when I began The Maze Runner, Newt was (and still is) my favorite character. And yes, I cried like a baby for the other deaths too, like Chuck for example, but 250...

I was reading The Death Cure in my seventh grade social studies class when we had a short break. And that's when I reached it... the cursed page... and I had to tRY NOT TO CRY LIKE AN IDIOT IN THE MIDDLE OF A DEAD SILENT CLASSROOM.

I still hate this sentence:

"Please Tommy, please..."

AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEWT DESERVED THE WHOLE WORLD. NEWT WAS BBY. Thanks to Newt, whenever anybody says "good luck, don't die," I always have to reply with "great, we're all bloody inspired."

I MISS HIM. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE HE IS DEAD. I STILL REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT.

Oh yeah, even for the movie...

I was just watching the trailer when I realized that it seemed really different from the book. That kind of thing usually pisses me off, but this time around, I was hopeful. I was thinking "since this movie seems so different from the book, maybe Newt will live!"

THEN THE END OF THE TRAILER CAME TO CRUSH MY LITTLE DREAMS. WHEN HE SAID "PLEASE TOMMY, PLEASE" I WAS LIKE "SHIT I STAND CORRECTED, HE DEAD."

And then I cried again...

I watched the movie in the theater. Spoiler alert, Newt still dies. In a different way, but he still died.

Book death: *Gets shot*

Movie death: *Gets stabbed*

BUT I STILL CRIED LIKE A BABY IN THE THEATER. THE FREIND THAT I WENT WITH ALSO CRIED. I'M PRETTY SURE WE WERE IN A THEATER FULL OF CASUAL MOVIEGOERS WHO WERE NOT TMR FANS BECAUSE ME AND MY FRIEND WERE THE ONLY ONES SOBBING LIKE MANIACS.

NEWT DESERVED BETTER.

HE WAS THE MOM OF THE GLADE.

WE WILL MISS YOU MAMA NEWT.

Aight that's enough for one day... I usually don't publish two chapters in one day but... here we are...

I might publish more TMR stuff in the future because I have some theories and an unpopular opinion on Teresa and Thomas's relationship, along with the relationship between Thomas and Brenda. I also have some unpopular shipping opinions involved Minho...

And I'll have to introduce y'all to my TMR OC Jocelyn later!
