GUYS AND GALS........
I AM BOTH SCARED AND EXCITED RIGHT NOW
There has been a CRAZY Spider-Man leak!! And although it might not be true, it does make full sense. So if you want to try and avoid spoilers, you don't have to read this, but the leak might not even be real anyway 🤷♀️
Ok let's get on with this!!
The movie is supposed to start exactly where the FFH post credit ended, when Peter's identity was revealed AND he was framed. Peter tries to get home, but ends up being arrested right when he gets there...
I'm assuming that's going to be extremely heartbreaking for Happy and Aunt May to watch.......
Peter Parker just can't get a break, can he...?
Anyways, after that, Peter goes to court and is sentenced to a life in a maximum security prison. It also shows Peter having to adjust to prison life...
I don't know why but this is giving me huge "The Count of Monte Cristo" vibes... like... in this Peter is separated from the one he loves and thrown into jail for a crime he didn't commit...
Like... Edmond knows how you feel, Peter 😂
ANYWAY!!!!!!
Once Peter tries to adjust, the other prisoners and even the guards are suddenly on a mission to kill Peter. Big oof...
Peter, trying to avoid being killed, later finds out that there was a contract put out on him. This contract was sent out by someone known as the Benefactor.
Now where was this mentioned before...?
Ah! Yes! It was briefly mentioned in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
So who is the Benefactor? We'll see...
The contract and this 'Benefactor' are a big part of the reasoning behind why everyone wants Peter dead. This causes a massive brawl to break out in the prison, leading to Peter to having to go to a different prison.
The bus taking Peter and other prisoners to a new prison is intercepted by Kraven the Hunter. Kraven ends up killing the driver and all of the other prisoners on the vehicle. Peter gets in a super climactic fight with the Kraven, and despite being badly beaten, he manages to escape. (Why would Kraven even attempt though? This kid literally fought against Thanos and his army 😂)
If you don't know who Kraven is, he's an Anti-Hero (which means he's not exactly a villain, but he's not a hero either), but in the comics, he is still an enemy of Spider-Man because he was sided with Mysterio.
Back to the plot...
Since Peter escapes, he's freed, but is being hunted down by people who want him dead. When Peter is on the run, he calls happy via pay phone to ask him for help, and leaves a message for Happy to tell everyone else that Peter loves. The leak did not reveal what the message would be, but what we do know is that Peter's only choice was to disconnect himself from everybody he knows.
So... Peter's alone in this situation.
Screw Mysterio, all Peter wanted was a simple vacation 😭
oH, speaking of the b*tch Mysterio, guess who the Benefactor is?!?!
NONE OTHER THAN THE FISHBOWL WEARING MOTHERF*CKER HIMSELF!!
THE THEORY MIGHT BE RIGHT IF THIS LEAK IS REAL. MYSTERIO FAKED HIS DEATH. HIS DEATH WAS ALL AN ILLUSION.
Mysterio was actually the one who ordered Kraven to sabotage the bus ride. And it's not the last we see of Kraven. Mysterio also ordered Kraven to find Spider-Man and give the people what they want: Spider-Man's death.
Peter, still on the run, does not have web shooters either. In fact, he makes himself a new suit, much like the home-made suit from Spider-Man: Homecoming, and that's all he's left with.
At the time, Kraven is enjoying the chase, so he takes it easy on Peter. But don't think that's a good thing. Kraven thinks it's funny to simply toy with Peter and his feelings for the time being. Well... at least he isn't just killing him on the spot.......
So Peter's caught in some bad situations her...
1. He's trying to clear his name.
2. He's trying to avoid the law so he doesn't die.
3. He's trying to avoid Kraven (also so he doesn't die).
4. He's probably going to have to face some other villains along the way.
I'm just really hoping they don't try and cram in a ton of villains at once, because that's the mistake the Andrew Garfield's trilogy made.
But here's where the plot leak really kicks off:
Peter gets in touch with Happy again, and Happy introduces him to Agent Jessica Drew, a brand new character. Jessica Drew has a strong belief that Peter is innocent, and tries to do her best to keep Kraven away from him.
She also helps him to get his web shooters back along with his old Stark Suit.
Meanwhile, Mysterio becomes increasingly frustrated due to Kraven's failure to kill Peter. But we also find out that this is Kraven's last hunt. Warning, it gets pretty dark from here.
It is revealed that Kraven is suffering from cancer, and he wishes to savor his final kill. But remember when I said that Kraven wasn't exactly a villain? Get this: Kraven didn't kill Peter because he wasn't willing to kill a child.
At this point, Mysterio threatens to kill Kraven if he doesn't do as he was told and kill Peter. Now it just seems like Mysterio has some sort of power over Kraven, but the leak did not reveal why he has that power. Perhaps it was a deal? Or maybe Mysterio offered him something valuable?
I'm not sure...
But now here's another plot twist. We found out that Mysterio has his own Benefactor, and this is none other than the Green Goblin, or Norman Osborn. Norman Osborn is actually running to be a senator.
Even though Mysterio works for Norman Osborn, Norman announces Mysterio as a fraud and proves Peter's innocence. None of this was out of sympathy though. He did that to make himself look good.
Yet some people still think Peter's guilty, and they still know his identity.
Despite the fact that Peter's name was now cleared (sort of), Kraven is still on the hunt to kill him. Now we get a little bit of epic (kind of OOC) Spider-Man. Once Kraven finds him, Peter is infuriated, and Kraven is nearly killed by an extremely angry Peter Parker.
Kraven gives in to Spider-Man and tells Peter where Beck is hiding. With this knowledge, Peter let's Kraven live.
Makes sense... not killing anyone is like Spider-Man's oath (I mean, unless it's space dogs).
Anyway, Peter then finds Mysterio's hideout and gets trapped in another illusion very similar to the trippy FFH scene. Keep in mind that at this point, Peter is still enraged and not willing to give into Beck's bullsh*t again...
That's all I know so far, and I haven't seen the leak for the rest of the film.
However, one more thing that I do know is that this could possibly end with Peter paying a visit to Dr. Strange, and Doc asks Peter if he'd like him to make the world forget.
I have no idea what this means, but I'd assume it's so the rest of the world forgets Peter's identity, he's freed, and can finally go back to living a normal life.
But it's not that simple. Peter ponders the idea, thinking that it could also cause some major problems.
And that's it... that's where it ends... gotta love cliffhangers... THEN WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR SPIDER-MAN 4....?? If there is one???
Also note this: it's been confirmed that Spider-Man 3 will be the darkest Spider-Man film. We also know that Peter won't be accompanied by Ned or MJ, the ones who usually lighten the mood. I'm hoping he gets reunited with them eventually...
Anyway that's all I know so far, if there is anything else added or just something I missed, I'll keep you all updated :)
