So I'm involved in a LOT of fandoms (I wonder what gave THAT away 😂)
I tend to develop a lot of theories about my fandoms.
I'm aware that the account I'm posting this on is mainly for Marvel, and this book will contain Marvel theories too. However...
Let's just say binge watching an entire season of an anime in one night wasn't the best idea...
My head hurts really fucking bad, it's 5am, and I have an Algebra test tomorrow.... but iT WAS WORTH IT. Also I just couldn't stop watching because every episode left off on a cliffhanger...
So LET US BEGIN!!
So the season starts off with Yukine's best friend dying, and the ever so powerful Bishamon still loathing Yato for killing her "family" (just a band of Regalias that she saved) back when he was a calamity god.
There was one question I've had ever since season one, and that was: "why did Yato kill all of Bishamon's Regalias? What where his motives?"
Lucky for me, that was answered in season two. Turns out Kazuma, another one of Bishamon's Regalias, was the only survivor along with Bishamon herself. Kazuma asked Yato to kill his entire clan.
It was revealed in season one that whenever a Regalia does something bad or feels bad, it physically harms their master. Yato only has one Regalia, so he never got hurt too badly.
Wait that's a lie... he almost died because of Yukine's past sins...
But what I mean to say is that he was never hurt as badly as Bishamon was. Why is this? Bishamon had a LOT of Regalias, and every little bad thing they did, and every little bad feeling they felt, hurt Bishamon.
Kazuma thought he was helping by calling to the god of calamity to kill Bishamon's Regalias. But instead, it made Bishamon loathe Yato. She formed a clan of new Regalias to join her and be Yato's sworn enemies.
So there's that story...
I actually find it interesting.
Later, Kazuma betrays his new clan because he not only feels guilty, but he wants to be on Yato's side and inform Bishamon that the deaths of her Regalias was not entirely Yato's fault.
Bishamon kidnaps both Kazuma and Hiyori in order to lure Yato there to fight her, but what she didn't know was that this was the plan of another one of her Regalias that planned to not only betray her, but make Yato kill her.
Of course Yato is pissed off when he finds out the girl he loves, Hiyori, was kidnapped. I mean, look at this face:
