As the title of this chapter says:
welcome!
I am so glad you're reading this and open to enjoying the story.

This fanfiction has an original version which will never be as in-depth or as developed as I tried to make this.

In no way am I ashamed or disappointed with the first draft, it's just that I knew it had soooooo much potential that I couldn't leave it.

Plus, I wanted to offer an alternate ending and branch off like a canon-divergence. I love playing with 'What If' scenarios and this version was born from that.

I've always loved writing and after taking nearly a year on hiatus I am back with this.

I'll probably be gone for a while again after the rewritten version The Old You is fully published because I have just started A-Levels and they honestly take much time and dedication.

In no way can I take credit for the story of Tokyo Ghoul or it's characters, only my own original ones.

This is a draft, it's hardly been edited and will be fully once every chapter is published.

Fear not! This book will not be left unfinished.
As you're reading this it is already completed and in my drafts so you don't have to worry.
