If it was me, I would've picked Mack over anyone in this group; no hesitation! But he picks some blue-eyed beauty that 'can't take the apocalypse anymore' over me! I'm fucking terrified, but yet, here I am.
I risk my life, every day, for a person I believe in. Why couldn't he have done the same for me?
"Two-thousand-four-hundred-and--fifty-five."
I would've done 2,455 things for Mack, 10K, while he couldn't even do one thing for me!
"I'm out of ammo." 10K announced to our leader as she took out some Zs with her machete.
I'm out of patience with my brother. You're not special, 10K. Apparently, I'm not either; not special enough for my own blood to stay with me. How could he-he just leave like that? No reason.
No excuse! Anger fumes traveled down to my legs, urging them to move pass Warren and take out my own weapon. I slid the brass knuckles onto the base of my fingers. The first Z I saw, my right leg extended outwards to kick it's chest, sending it to it's back.
"(Y/---)." Doc's warning had been cut off from saying his name by someone else.
I got into the fighting position that Warren taught me back at Blue Sky Camp. I stood in front of my undead opponent, rage fueling my every need to kill this; to kill something; to kill anything that wanted me dead first.
With the weapon of choice on my fingers, I threw the first punch straight to it's--already--crooked nose. If he was alive, he'd more than likely be able to beat my ass. Thank God, he's brain isn't even working properly.
A groan slipped pass the dead man's blood stained lips like that had actually hurt him. His head had flew backwards from the force I brought to his ugly face. Just hearing the bone crushing echo ring through my ears brought more rage into my game.
I've been through Hell and back, I have done every single thing Mack has ever said to do! And what do I get in return? 'I'm sorry, baby'? Sad part? He actually meant it, but had the audacity to still leave me!
The Z took advantage of my frozen-in-thought body and came close enough to grab my shoulders. Quickly, I slid the blade part out of it's hiding and slid the sharp side all the way across it's exposed throat.
Blood flew out of the fresh wound, coating my face and hair. Aim wasn't a word the wound was aware of. The Z was stilling coming at me despite the slit throat; a wound that would've brought any alive man down to their knees in seconds.
It's fingers that gripped my shoulders only got tighter to bring me close to his cold, bloody body. At least a stranger wants to keep me closer than my brother ever did! I shifted the red stained, but silver colored, blade upward.
I shoved the sharp tip of the metallic weapon through it's chin bone and any other bone that was in my way until I reached the control center. How could Mack not have thought about me? About how this would affect my whole fucking world?!
I let the heavy, limp body fall down once I excused the only thing keeping it up from the ground. Adrenaline and anger was the only strength I had in me to keep the body up. An undead woman in a destroyed business attire was coming from the right side of me.
I spun to the side, facing the new opponent. My hand that was free from any weapons (left) went to the beast's left, exposed shoulder; just like the Z before this one had done to me. My right hand came into the scene by swiping a hard right across it's head.
The blade of the knife sliced the head wide open for display, allowing me to see half of the bloody brain before the Z fell backwards onto the grassy ground. Usually, the view would've made me want to throw up, but right now, I want to see more red.
