The Fallen Angel - Castiel

A woman ran across the dark street looking behind her occasionally. Her coat flapped in the wind as she ran from what was chasing her.

Y/N stood at the counter of the diner, paying for the food he and Cass just ate. Cass stood facing the door, waiting for Y/N to be done. He saw the woman run past the door looking terrified. As she ran past the door, she screamed as the thing chasing her got closer. Y/N turned around and looked at Cass, who pointed out the door. Y/N left his change, which wasn't much, and sprinted out the door to see what was wrong.

He got outside to see the lady pinned against the wall by a man two times her size. He pulled out his pistol and ran toward the two.

"Hey, back away from the lady, pal!" The man turned and looked at Y/N then held out his hand and threw him to the side. Y/N hit the wall of the building next to him and landed on the ground. He groaned and put his pistol back in his pants. He pulled out the knife Ruby had given them and got up.

He charged towards the demon, and got ready to fight it. The demon let go of the lady, and swung at Y/N. He ducked it and swung at the demon with the knife. It grabbed his arm and started to raise it above his head, squeezing harder and harder. Finally Y/N couldn't hold onto the knife any longer and dropped it on the ground. The demon punched him in the face and he dropped to the ground. The demon crouched in front of him and smiled.

"I can't believe I've got one of the Winchester boys. I haven't come across something this good for a long time, and I wasn't even looking for you. Seems like I got lucky tonight." Y/N grimaced and spit out blood.

"Yeah right, ass-hat. You won't be able to get anything out of me." The demon looked up in false thought, then shrugged.

"I don't want anything out of you, I just want to be the one to kill you. It'll be a real honor to be the one to kill the eldest Winchester boy. I wonder if you'll be just like your daddy in hell. Or if you'll break as easy as you did the first time you made the deal." It picked up the knife and looked at it carefully, examining it. He seemed content with his examination, then plunged it into Y/N's side. He yelled through clenched teeth as the demon turned the knife in his body.

Castiel appeared behind the demon and put his hand on the side of his head. The vessel's eyes and mouth glowed with the demon's death. The vessel fell to the ground beside Y/N. Cass looked at the vessel as Y/N pulled the blade out of his side with heavy breaths. He wiped his blood off onto his pants and put the blade back into its place.

"Cass," he said, getting the angel's attention. He held his hands on his wound and tried to hold back the pain. Cass crouched in front of Y/N the way the demon had and held out his hand to the oldest Winchester. Y/N took it and they appeared in front of the hospital in the town they were in. Cass helped him walk into the hospital, and got the nurses' attention.

"What happened?" Cass helped Y/N onto the gurney and stared at him as they rolled him away.

"Sir, what happened?" Cass looked up at her and cocked his head.

"He was stabbed. Can I go with him?"

"No. Don't go anywhere, I've got some questions for you." Cass looked around at all the people in the hospital and decided it was best to tell Sam and Dean about their brother. He disappeared from the lobby and stood in front of the door of their hotel room. Dean and Sam looked up from their things when they heard the sound of his wings. Dean stood up when he noticed his brother wasn't with him.

"Cass, where's Y/N?"

"He's at the hospital. He was stabbed by the demon knife while trying to kill a demon. He will be fine though." Sam now stood up and walked up behind Dean.
