*This one's going to have my name in it instead of Y/N, because I need this to be me right now. I so desperately need this to be me. I've gone down a spiral in the past few years and it's getting worse.*
"You've got to sleep at some point, Easton. You'll kill yourself if you don't." Easton shrugged as he leaned against the kitchen counter. He broke his gaze from the wall in front of him to look at Castiel. He could see the pain he was trying to hide. Even with the small smile that was covering his face, Cass could tell it was fake.
"That will be fine with me." Cass frowned as Easton looked away. He pushed himself off the counter and looked back at Cass. He winked as he turned, walking down the hallway to what the angel could assume was his bedroom. He sighed as he watched him disappear. It wasn't the first time Easton had indirectly been suicidal.
Thoughts that go like bullets through you
The time you told me that you wished you were dead"I wish I was dead. This life you've given me is great, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But I wish I could rid myself of these horrible memories. They hurt so much, Cass. The abuse I had to go through, I wish I could forget about it." Easton kicked his legs as he looked out at the stars. They were sitting on a picnic bench in the middle of nowhere.
Castiel turned his attention away from the stars and looked at Easton with a frown. "You can't wish that. The things you've been through, it's horrible, but it's made you the man you are today. Think of all the people you've saved, if you were dead, they would be too. Millions of lives, gone like that, because you weren't there to help them. If you forgot about the damaging words thrown at you, you would forget all of the kind words you learned to replace them. I'd be changed, because I'd be left alone right now. I'd not have been made the man I am sitting next to you."
Easton tried to give a smile, but it broke as he looked at the angel. His eyes started to water, causing him to look back out at the stars. "I'm broken, Cass. How can I help anyone else, when I can't even help myself? I just possibly can't." Cass reached over and pulled Easton into his chest. Easton grabbed him tightly, turning his tear covered face into the dirty trench coat he was wearing.

To sleep through your alarms
Man, you're losing your headCass looked up from the book he was reading and looked at the time. He stood up and walked through the hallway to Easton's room. He slowly pushed the door open, hoping to find Easton asleep, but he found him listening to his music at full volume on one monitor while playing a game on the other. He looked around the room and saw empty cans of energy drinks everywhere. He frowned, the amount of caffeine in each can was enough to keep him up for a while, but with the amount he had drank, he'd be lucky if his body didn't completely shut down. Cass slowly closed the door, trying not to make much sound, though Easton wouldn't've been able to hear it. He hung his head as he walked back to the library, trying to think of something to help Easton.
Easton felt himself start to get drowsy. He quickly swiveled in his chair and turned to the mini fridge sitting next to his desk. He reached in and grabbed another drink, popping it open and drinking almost half in one go. He set it next to him and continued to play his games. He watched as the time ticked past, 1 am, 2 am, 3 am, soon it was 8 am. He looked up at the calendar and marked off another day. 6 straight days he had been up. The longest a human can go is 2 weeks before they die. Easton stood and stretched, then he walked out of his room to go to the bathroom.
Cass looked up when he heard Easton leave his room. Cass grinned as he flew to Easton's room. He used his angel mojo to lock the fridge and the computer. He was alerted by the sounds of his footsteps that Easton was coming back, and he ducked out of the room, quickly walking back to the library. He sat down, making himself busy for when Easton would inevitably come out. He heard slow footsteps and looked up. Easton was barely dragging himself along, eyes closing and head dropping low.
"East, you've got to sleep. Please, you're going to kill yourself continuing this." Easton shook his head slowly, it was still enough to throw him off his balance. Castiel was by his side in a second, catching him and steadying him.

The time you told me that you wished you were dead" 'ts the goal, Cass. Wish I was dead. Tryin'a speed up the process." Cass shook his head as he turned Easton around.
"I'll not allow you to do this to yourself. If I've got to force you to sleep, then so be it." Easton sighed heavily, not having the energy to argue with him at the moment. Cass's arms around Easton's middle provided comforting warmth, furthering the process of him passing out from exhaustion. When they got back to his room, Easton reached for the fridge, eyes pleading silently for more caffeine. The angel shook his head and set him on the bed. Easton groaned softly, bringing his heavy arms to his face.
" 'm not sleepy. Not gonna get sleep anyways." Cass sat next to him, causing the other to fall into him. Easton stayed in his position, not strong enough in his current state to stay upright on his own.
"Why not, East?" Easton rubbed his eyes and readjusted his head on Cass's shoulder.
"Scary dreams. Them." Cass closed his eyes and tried not to let his heart break. His friend never talked about the extent of the abuse he went through, that was one of the only parts he guarded closely. Now he was so sleep deprived he was just saying it without any hesitation. He sounded like he was reverting back to his younger self, not using full sentences or full words even. He felt Easton move closer to him and opened his eyes to look at him.
"They're not here anymore, they've been gone a while, remember." Easton shook his head and buried his face in Cass's side.
"Still here." He pointed to his forehead. "Hurting me." Cass moved his hand to Easton's head and started to rub his hair back, causing it to pop back up every time.
"Is there anything I can do?" Easton nodded. The angel looked into his sleepy eyes.
"Stay?" Cass smiled at him and continued to rub his hair.
"I'd never think of leaving you. I'll stay for as long as you'll need me." Easton grinned slowly as Cass began to move him under his covers. He got into his undershirt and boxers, then climbed in, Easton instantaneously moving into his side. Easton wrapped his arms around his angel like he was a huge teddy bear. Cass carefully lifted Easton's head to put his arm under his neck.
"Thank." Easton whispered into Cass's shirt. He smiled softly and brushed Easton's hair back with his hands. He hummed softly as he turned the lights down. Easton fell asleep rather quickly and stayed asleep for a full 18 hours... and Cass stayed there with him the entire time.
