Cass had taken the memories of Hell away from Sam. Leaving himself completely insane, while Sam was fine. He hadn't told anyone about it before he did it except for Y/N. Y/N didn't agree with it, but there was nothing he could do to stop Cass. The angel had his mind set on fixing what he had broken. Y/N volunteered to stay with him at the mental hospital as a patient while his younger brothers continued to hunt.
They tried to go against it, but Y/N refused to change his stance. He knew he needed mental help anyways, but he would never tell his brothers that. The way he would get into the hospital was by telling the truth, about everything. His home life, his work life, and everything in between.
He said goodbye to his brothers before they left to go find Dick Roman. They tried to talk to Cass, but he wouldn't say a word. He ended up falling into a coma-like sleep. His brothers left and he walked back in so he could be admitted.
"I think I need a psych eval." The woman at the front desk stopped her typing and looked up at him.
"You were just here with those two boys. You were the ones who left the man." Y/N nodded throughout her talking.
"Yeah, yeah. We uh, I think," he couldn't form sentences. He stopped talking and held up his finger. "We decided that it would probably be best for me to stay here too. The voices in my head are getting a lot worse each day." She nodded quickly and handed him a card with a room number on it. He thanked her and walked down to that room.
Well that was easy enough. He opened the door to see the person who interviewed Sam when they first brought him there. The doctor sat him down and asked him what he needed. Y/N told him about going to Hell, the hunts he went on with his brothers, leaving out the details. The doctor concluded that he would need to stay in the hospital for at least a few months so they could keep him in observation.
"One more thing, Doc. Can I share a room with my friend Jimmy? I wanna be able to check up on him, we've been friends since we was kids." The doctor looked at him with a contemplative look then finally sighed.
"I suppose. We will have to monitor you more closely so you don't harm anyone or yourself." Y/N nodded.
"Yeah, course. Thanks, Doc." The doctor nodded and shook his hand. He walked him to the room where he would get all of his things for his stay. He couldn't wear his normal clothes, which pissed him off a little, but they at least let him wear his necklace and his jacket. He walked into Cass's room and saw Meg sitting on a chair next to his bed.
He didn't trust Meg that much, but there wasn't much he could do about it. She was the only one who could call out to his brothers whenever they needed. He looked over at her then walked to the bed on the other side of the room and dropped his stuff on it.
Time went by and Cass still never woke up. Y/N went to the group therapy sessions and they started to help him little by little. He stopped blaming himself for everyone's deaths as much as he had. He still blamed himself, but he could let it go and move on from it.
Y/N started to sit by Cass's bed and tell him stories of his childhood, hoping he would wake up soon. He held his hand and waited in silence many times, hoping he would feel Cass's grip tighten. He always had to make sure none of the workers caught him, or they would have moved his room.
Y/N was asleep when Cass did wake up. He was lying on his bed face-down with his hands under his pillow, like he normally slept with his gun. Cass sat up quickly and stared forward. Meg looked up from her magazine and saw him. He looked over at Y/N and slowly climbed out of the bed. He walked over to Y/N's bed and laid down next to him, trying not to fall off of the small bed.
Meg snorted and stood up. She moved Y/N over without waking him up, then Cass scooted closer to him. He put his arm around him like a child around his teddy bear. She walked out of the room and called Sam and Dean to tell them Cass had woken up. They told her they were on their way, and she looked into the window on the door. She smiled and walked to the break room to give them some time alone.

FanfictionShort stories and One-shots, because I'm bad at writing short. Mostly Crowley and Gabe cause they're my favorite. No smut, cause I'm a teenager, and that's just gross and uncomfortable for me. Platonic and Romantic relationships though.
