Y/N walked into the bunker with his backpack in his hand. The reason why, both of the straps were torn off, only leaving the top handle for carrying. He walked down the steps, through the library and straight to his room. Gabriel looked up from the tv he was watching and frowned when the kid didn't say hi to him. He was always excited to see him. Gabe knew something was wrong.

Y/N slammed the door to his room and locked it. His backpack dropped to the floor next to his desk and he pulled out his stuffed bunny, named the same. He walked over to his bed and pushed himself under the covers, head-first, turning on the heater with his foot. The bed slowly started to warm up as Y/N hugged Bunny close to his chest as he took deep breaths, trying to hold himself together.

The bullies two grades above him had stolen his backpack and ripped the straps off. They almost ripped up one of his books. As they were going through his bag, he slowly reached behind him and pulled out his pocket knife, finally ready to stand up to the bullies. At the time, a teacher was informed of what was happening and came over to stop it. He only saw the knife in Y/N's hands, not the kids tearing up his bag. So while Y/N got suspended for three weeks, the bullies only got told to get to class.

So Y/N had walked home. Not wanting to tell Sam or Dean about what happened. When the school had asked for a parent's number, he had given them Garth's, who covered for him and promised he wouldn't tell the boys unless he was told otherwise.

The boy had been in a rough patch recently, his depression and anxiety mixed with Junior bullies and the constant threat of monsters didn't have a very beneficial outcome. So Y/N had started to break away from everyone, spending more time in his room than out in the library with everyone else.

He felt tears slowly start to roll down his cheeks as he rocked himself under the covers, something his mother had done before she was murdered. He repeated the last words she had said to him the night she tucked him into bed, turning off the lights in his room.

Good night, I love you Little Fox

Those were the last words she said to him as he smiled back at her while she pulled his bedroom door shut.

He heard a soft knocking at his door as he buried his head farther into the blankets.

"Hey, kiddo?" He didn't hear anything in response. He used his powers to unlock the door so he could come in. The door hit the edge of the backpack that was torn up, causing him to look down at it. He frowned and fixed it quickly, then he looked up at the bed. The lump in the bed and the yellow light of the heater's control told Gabriel that Y/N was under his covers completely. The archangel walked over and sat down on the side of the bed.

"What happened to your backpack, Y/N?" Gabriel watched as the blankets moved up and down with Y/N's breathing. The boy didn't want to talk to anyone, so he remained silent except for the Irish he was muttering under his breath, waiting for Gabriel to leave.

"N/N, you gonna talk to me or am I gonna have to sit here and wait until you come out?" He looked over at the speaker on Y/N's desk and snapped, making it play Y/N's favorite song, Twenty Øne Piløts, Truce. Y/N crawled out from under his blankets and looked up at Gabriel, the marks of tears evident on his face. Gabe scooted closer to him and pulled him into a hug, Y/N sinking into his side.

"What happened buddy? What's got you so upset?" Y/N shook his head as Gabe's shirt got damp from the tears. Gabe rubbed the back of Y/N's head, something that always calmed him down.

"Kids at school are bullies. They tore my backpack up." Gabe pulled back and looked at the boy.

"What do they bully you for?"

"They say that I'm too small to be on the football team, or that I'm too crazy to have friends. You're my friend, right Gabriel?" Y/N looked up at him with pleading eyes. Gabriel nodded and pulled Y/N closer to him.

"Of course I am. I'm your bestest friend ever." Y/N chuckled quietly as Gabriel smiled. He pulled Y/N up and they stood next to his bed.

"Wanna go get something to eat?" Y/N nodded and followed Gabe out to the kitchen.

"Hey Gabe, can I tell you something?" The archangel turned around and looked at him, nodding. "I got suspended for three weeks." Gabriel frowned and shrugged.

"Who cares? You're too smart for school anyways." Y/N smiled as Gabriel grabbed some junk food out of the cabinets. He tossed some to Y/N with a smile.

"Besides, congrats on getting suspended." Y/N laughed and took a bite of his favorite candy. They sat at the table eating until they passed out with candy wrappers covering the table and floor. Sam and Dean came home to a huge mess.
