"Why don't you just leave me alone? You hate me cause I'm like Mom, and because I'm gay!" Y/N yelled at his dad. He was trying to keep the tears in his eyes from falling. He stood behind the table in the kitchen as his dad and his stepmom stood by the stove and the fridge respectively. They both had their arms crossed and leaned against the counter. Y/N held his hands in his pockets.

"Y/N, give me your phone and go to your room." His father stepped forward and held his hand out. Y/N pulled his phone out of his pocket and shoved it into his hands. He walked out of the kitchen and glared at the camera in the corner of the room. He ran down the steps and walked to his room, locking his door and putting the mechanism that kept it from shaking on the handle.

He laid down on his bed and stared up at the ceiling. He crossed his arms and huffed. "Why do I always have to be the one in trouble? I don't do anything, yet I get yelled at. 'N/N, don't do that, give me your phone. Y/N, go to your room.' It's fucking stupid. I'm glad I'm moving to Mom's at the end of the year." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He pulled his hands up and rested them on his face. He missed the soft fluttering of wings.

"Why can you not move there now?" Y/N sat up and looked at the man standing in his room. He tilted his head and moved his hand behind him to the pocket knife on his table.

"Who are you, and how did you get into my room?" The man chuckled and snapped, suddenly they were surrounded by the trees and laughter of kids at the park. Y/N turned slowly and looked at his surroundings, trying to figure out where he was.

"My name's Lucifer. I've been assigned to be your guardian angel." Y/N squinted at him with a skeptical look.

"My what?" Lucifer chuckled.

"Your guardian angel. To help guide you to make the best choices you can in life." Y/N scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, right. If you're my guardian angel, where were you while my life went to shit when I was five?"

Lucifer hung his head and sighed. "Well, as you know, I'm the devil. I've been in Hell since the beginning of time. I just got out a few days ago, since me and Dad are trying to make up." He looked up at the teen who was only a few inches shorter than him. He walked closer to him and put his hand on his shoulder, guiding him to a bench nearby. They sat and Y/N was quiet, staring at his hands sitting in his lap.

Lucifer sat back and watched the humans that disgusted him. Y/N wasn't the same though, and Lucifer liked him. His father hated him and he was different than all of his friends and family. He was an outcast because of who he loved and the decisions he made. The only friends he had were his boyfriend and his friends, but even then they weren't truly friends.

"So, why are you here?" Y/N asked in a low voice. Lucifer turned his head to the 15 year old sitting next to him. He looked at him for a moment and then hummed.

"I figure now is as good a time as any to start being a guardian. I can tell you really need a friend."

Y/N chuckled and looked up at him with a sad smile. "It's that obvious, huh? Well, I guess I'll take the devil over no one." He shrugged. Lucifer smiled and put his arm around Y/N's shoulder.

"That's my boy." Y/N chuckled and smiled a real smile.

"Thanks, Lucifer." Lucifer pat the boy's head.

"You're welcome, Y/N."
